Jenna nodded. "I am... I just pray he's not like Steele," she whispered.

Fang yawned, looking over at Kodi and then instantly rolling over to look away from him, clearly not wanting to talk to him.

"I wish we'd asked Sakak and Belladonna for some help hiding..." said Lena. "But yeah, that should help."

"Im hoping he's not that bad, either." Balto said, looking about.

Kodi was shocked, but nodded. "I don't blame you. I wouldn't want to talk to me either, with the way I've acted. I just need you to listen, and listen good when I say... I wish I hadn't done what I did. I hurt too many I care about, abd I just hope you know that I am deeply, truly sorry."

Kai nodded. "But at least we have a plan."

Jenna nodded, and started pretending to sniff around. She hoped Shenkin didn't find the pups, not just because it'd ruin the plan.

Fang gave a sad sigh, still not looking at Kodi. "Katie is like a sister to me Kodi... You broke her heart..."

Lena nodded, following after Shenkin. "How do you think Sakak and Belladonna are doing?"

Balto would hope the sane, knowing very well how that could play out.

Kodi sighed. "I know... And I'll never let myself live it down. I don't know what made me do it... But why I'd ever do it, to the mother of my children- and," he closed his eyes. "The girl I love. Today, I realized it's the longest I ever want to go without being by her side."

Kai smirked. "I'm sure they're doing fine."

"What makes you think I'll forgive you that easy?" asked Fang, still not looking at him. "My dad CHASED my mom away, I still remember how betrayed and heartbroken she looked the last time I ever saw her... I know you're nothing like my dad was, but didn't you stop to think at all of what you were putting EVERYONE through? Especially Katie?"

Shenkin slinked through town, overhearing the conversation Kodi and Fang had. "What's this?"

Lena looked down from the roof of a building. "Daddy..." she said, looking things over.

"I never said I wanted you to forgive me! How could I ever ask you to do that?" Kodi asked, his face stern. "I just asked that you know I'm sorry. The point of it all is that I wasn't thinking. I wish I hadn't hurt you, or Dusty, or my children... My kids!" he shook his head. "Not to mention my mate... Fang, I love her. With all my heart and soul. I took a great girl for granted...."

Tai listened, ears going back as she laid on the roof next to Lena. "Papa..."

Fang finally looked at Kodi. "... If Katie takes you back, I'll accept that..." he said, then snarled and leapt in Kodi's face. "But if you EVER hurt her again, I'll tear you apart, got it!" he snarled, channeling more than a little of his father in his threat.

Lena whined. She WANTED to tell their father that they'd take him back, but knew for the time being that couldn't happen.

Kodi seemed to brighten a moment at Fang looking at him... His ears and tail lowered, limp as Fang growled. He was certainly a scary dog. All Kodi could do was nod rapidly, gulping.

Tai looked to Lena, and nuzzled her. She wanted to go to her father as well.

Fang's eyes widened and he backed up with a whimper. "S-sorry... I was just really mad..." he said, shame coming over him, his tail going between his legs. "I... I sounded like my dad..." he said, looking terrified by that thought.

Sakak sighed, looking to Belladonna, now back in their true forms. "Too bad we can't just let him know we gave his papa that christmas carol treatment, huh?" he asked, looking her way. He hated this part, when they knew something that would make somebody feel better but couldn't tell them.

Cachen looked at Shenkin. "Uh... He seems really mad..." he said, scared at the fierce, angry posture that Shenkin had taken.

Kodi nodded, looking ashamed as well. "I definitely don't blame you." he said. "You have every right to be mad."

Belladonna nodded, sighing. "I know. But things will work out in the end. I've got a feeling."

Kai had supress a snicker, smirking. "Hes mad because Dad still loves Mom." he said.

Dusty looked at the two males. "Alright, guys, are we good now? Ralph and Kirby are still ticked at Kodi for this, even if they had no idea Kodi had a mate in the first place," she stated, then looked ashamed. "I... I went on a tangent about it too them... I had to talk to someone, you know?" she asked, looking ashamed in herself.

Sakak nodded. "Yeah, I know, but it's a bother sometimes. But I guess it's better than your old gig."

Shenkin snarled and took off in the direction Katie and Balto had gone.

Kodi blinked at that, but he smiled. "I don't blame you. You had to tell someone."

Belladonna chuckled and would nod, giving Sakak a kiss.

Tai would watch, standing slightly. "Hes leaving, come on!" she said in a soft voice.

"I know... Just be glad I told them to keep quiet... And I didn't tell Dixie and Sylvie like I originally was going to," said Dusty, giving a small hint of embarassment at the last part. "Yeah, just be glad I changed my mind on that part, or the whole town would know by now."

Lena looked back to her father, then ran off with Cachen after Shenkin. "What do you think he's going to do?"

"And for that, I am definitely grateful." Kodi said sheepishly, ears back again.

Tai and Kai would climb down. "Some where important," Kai said with a glare in Shenkin's direction.

"Let's find Ralph and Kirby so we can clear this up with them," said Fang, looking around.

"Kirby is probably getting something to eat," said Dusty. "And Ralph is probably sleep in the same place he always is."

"Wait... You don't think he's going after mama, do you?" asked Lena, worry rising in her mind.
