Yeah, Question, as a Fan Character Mod, I appreciate your sympathy. It's really tough accepting these rainbow and unrealistic colored abominations as fan characters for the Balto Universe, but I have a feeling that this thing will spread to the other Source sites. *groans and shudders*

As I said, not liking them is NOT the problem, digression from topic is. Taste has nothing to do with it. If I did like sparkledogs, I still wouldnt think they belonged here. People seem to be under this false impression that ignoring them will make the problem go away, but the root of the problem is not that we dont like sparkledogs. Its that Sparkledogs are extraneous to Balto. They are unrealted, and this is, afterall, a Balto site. I really dont care about sparkle dogs. In my three years here I have never browsed fan art of fan characters. What I fear is digression to extraneous subjects spreading to the point of this not being a Balto site anymore.

That's stupid. Its not like saying "I hate sparkledogs, ban them from the internet." Its more like saying "I hate onions, stop putting them in everything I eat. Onions don't need to be in pancakes."

Your still missing the point Lucario. Not liking sparkledogs is not why we dont want them there. I cant seem to stress that enough. We dont what them there because they digress form the sites topic. We fear that will lead the site as a whole away from being a Balto site in the interest of pleasing the new crowd for the sake of longevity. I dont even visit the sections in which one finds sparkledogs. What I fear, and what all others complaining fear is digression. It seems to me like you would like to just write us off as looking to pick a fight, but that is a very weak and irresponsible response. You're either missing or ignoring the actual issue. Most of us are here because we are animation fans, and we would like this to be an animation website that is pertinent to its topics.

Personally, I don't hate sparkledogs all that much. I certainly don't like them but if I see one my response won't be "OMGSPARKLEMUTT KILL IT WITH FIRE" the only issue I really have with their presence here is they aren't related to Balto, and I would like to keep BS a Balto site. That is the key motivator for most people who want them gone.

I suppose the only way to really do anything now is suggest ways to moderate them so we don't end up with absolute stupidity now. :/

I was only upset because the short time I was a char mod (before sparkles) I really enjoyed seeing people's creativity, I really did. But now people just don't try anymore, they steal other people's stuff more now, or people are more upset. I just really bugs me, not sure exactly why.

I've noticed this too. Especially on TLKS :/ I've literally been on a reporting spree on there.

As a fan character mod, though I believe I have already mentioned this once or twice, this whole sparkle issue puts me, and I'm certain the other fan character mods, not just on Balto Source, but on the other Sources that have animal characters, in one very awkward position.

While I don't like the sparkle... whatever it is, dogs, lions, horses, what-eve... that hardest part is, they're allowed now and as a fan character mod, I have to, as UK pointed out, 'Suck it up', and no, UK, I am not bashing you or anything like that. Promise. Guess I'm just agreeing with the... well, what other word is there to call this other than abomination, yes?

Anyway, I have to accept this horrendous fact and let these, these things onto Balto Source, as much as it pains me.

Yes, it stinks, yes, it's wrong, but seriously, let's just drop this.

What's done is done and it's not fair to, more or less, force Steet into doing something huger than by letting the Sparkle dogs onto the site. He could do something worse, something that could affect the entire Fan section of not just Balto Source, but all the other Source sites as well.

That what you all want? I don't. So, come on, let it go.
