Temple was in a black sleep. She felt something on her flank, soft and rhythmic. But she was asleep.

David whimpered but went quiet when he seen the humans. The humans came up and said "It's okay boy. We'll keep her safe." They picked her up and put her in her own place, a small kennel that was made to contain her breed of dog. David went to his own place and curled up. Soon after he fell asleep.

--- Temple woke up hours later, he neck sore and with dry blood crusted on it.

The humans came and pulled Temple's kennel to the entrance to the ring which was fenced now. When it was rubbing against the entrance perfectly, leaving no openings for Temple to escape, they opened the kennel and pushed her out. Other humans came up with David and forced him in. Both groups of humans slammed the gates shut quickly so neither dog could escape the fight.

Temple kept a straight face, and looked David in the eyes with amber eyes full of fire.

David growled at Temple aggressively but not to aggressive to pose a threat to her along with the humans not knowing it he thinks.

Temple snarled, meaning it. She hated every hair on his pelt!

David continued growling at Temple, waiting for her to make the first move.

Temple lunged at him, and jabbed him in the leg.

David yelped and said pleadingly "Please stop Temple."

Temple wouldn't. She claws him furiously.

David whimpered and asked "Do you want to know why I won't kill you Temple but I tried to keep you away from here?"

Temple stopped for a moment. "Why?"

David sighed in relief and said "It's a long story but basically I love you and that's the reason why I won't kill you. The other part is that if you get your parents out of here then my sister is dead and she's all that I have left. Did you actually think that I would be ruled over if I had any other choice?"

Temple's fire burned, scorching her heart. She had no sympathy left for this wolf. She jumped on him, and scraped furiously at his neck.
