Fen twitched when Shay's voice reached his ears and broke the silence. He slowly sat up but didnt look Shay in the eye, ".....yes?"

The words were spoken softly into the stilll air. "I really enjoyed it." The air seemed to grow heavier, at least to Shay. She took a hesitant step towards him, her lips tingling as a phantom memory of Fen's lips brushing hers came back into the light.

"Im really sorry i shouldnt have done ---" Fen was rambeling until he heard what Shay said. He looked at her and blinked a few times before he relaxed against the back of the couch and let out a sigh of relif for not doing anything to stupid.

A small grin formed on Shay's pale face as Fen rambled, the words apparently missing his ears. A sigh of relief sinally escaped him as he listened. "You don't have to be sorry for anything," she said, voice dropping volume. She was afraid it might crack, and she cleared her throat subtly. She took a small step forward, head cocking as she puzzled how to introduce the action she was preparing to take.

Fen looked up at Shay, her head was tilted, as if questioning something. Fen just blinked a few times and looked back at her, unsure of what she was going to do, and unknowing of what he was going to do.

Finally, she decided not to speak anymore, just to do it, and wait for his reaction. Without any visible hesitation, Shay leaned forward, pressing her lips into his. An electric tingle raced down her spine, and despite how akward it might have been for Fen, she smiled a little.

Fen jerked slightly in suprised but he wraped an arm around her waist, pulling her closer and kissed Shay back, shocking himself with his response to Shay's lips pressed against his own.

Shay was glad that he didn't pull away, though the thought was in the back of her mind. What she was focusing on was the warm feeling inside her, and the tingling spreading throughout her body, all the way to her fingertips...and lips.

Fen felt his heart beating so fast that it felt like it was going to crack his ribs,he contiuned to kiss her, even Shay wanted to pull away he wasnt going to let her, not now, a shiver ran up his back as he had never felt this way for someone before.

Shay had no wish to break the moment. In fact, she had no wishes at the moment at all. They seemed to all be granted by Fen's soft lips.

Fen suddenly broke the kiss, scooting away from her, with his breathing heavy. "Shay we cant...we cant.." he repeated as he tried to calm his breathing, looking down his dark hair covered his face as he took in another shaky breath. "...we cant...your a vampire princess...and im...im a werewolf, it wouldnt work out...we would be shuned from everything...I couldnt do that to you..and..a war is going to start soon, i cant have my emotions clouding my will to fight and tear down the vampires that inslaved my wolf brothers..." His voice got lower and lower as he talked on, his heart aching for the passion it felt just secounds ago.

"Fen...it doesn't matter that I'm a vampire or a princess. Or that you're a werewolf. We're still people, I don't care if I'm shunned, and I...love you Fen," Shay said, her voice breathless.

Fens head slowly raised as his violet eyes lingered over Shay's face and he stood up. "....This war...i don't think you understand. I will not fight against the wolves with you but to love you and kill the people that you know...you will be torn. So unfortunately I'm asking this of you Shay. But I'm going to ask you to choose." He looked down, and his eyes caught the scars on his arms and wrists, were silver had bit into his skin, when he breathed he could feel his bruised ribs and it all seemed to hit him at the moment, how much he hated the vampires for in slaving his kind but when he looked back up at Shay's face for her response his hate was lessened in a great amount. How was he supposed to lead a war against Shay's family, that hit him like silver to his chest and he had to clutch his chest to keep from gasping.

Understanding dawned on the vampire's face, and she frowned. "I was never really close to my family. I never saw how you and the others of your kind had suffered. Now that I have..." A pause ensued, and Shay took a shaky breath. "Well, it's just wrong. I'll choose you any day."

A smile formed on Fen's face as he turned around and pulled Shay into a deep hug, his head resting on his shoulder. "What about...your sister...if there are people that you think will get along then we want to spare them, only fight who we have to."
