"But Grandpa managed to lure it into a frozen lake nearby and it fell in...but so did grandpa and he got trapped under the ice." said Kodi, giving a shiver.
"I see, just making sure you knew they built it." said Tina. "Anyway, that's were I was, there was lightning, next thing I know, I'm in Nome Alaska, not only a long way from home but much further in the past." she said. "Talking to my hero, honestly, if it weren't for stories about you, I'd probably be dead by now, thank you."

Katie shivered, unable to think about the frigid cold. "Your Uncle Boris and Grandma couldn't get to him, but his two friend Muk and Luk could. Despite they were afraid of swimming, they jumped in and saved him." a large smile spread over her face.
A slight smile came to Balto's face, but it was still filled with confusion. "I don't understand though, how could you be here from a different time?"

"But Grandma Jenna was hurt to bad to continue, so grandpa had his friends take her back to Nome to be safe." said Kodi. "But she gave him her bandana." he said, leaving it open ended for Katie to explain why.
Tina shrugged. "I have no idea." she said. "I'm as confused as you are about this whole thing."

Katie smirked at Kodi, before continuing the story. "Because she wanted your Grandpa to know she believed in him, even if no one else did. So, Grandpa set off by himself in the snow..."
Balto sighed, looking a bit frustrated. "Well, what could happen to send you back?"

"Grandpa tracked across the frozen wilderness for hours until, marking the trail as he went." said Kodi. "Until finally he found the sled team, stuck at the bottom of a hill, the musher unconcious."
Tina sighed. "I honestly don't know...and a part of me doesn't care." she said, showing the lab animal tag. "I was a lab animal, I haven't seen my family in years and well...I've had a lot of bad experiments done on me." she said, pulling back her fur on her head to show a scar. "But on the plus side I'm now smarter than the average human."

Katie nodded, continuing. "But that dog, Steele, was having no help from your grandfather, even though the other dogs were more than happy to let him. So, he and Steele began to fight," she wouldn't go into detail. "And your Grandpa won, and was placed in the lead position... Although, Steele had fallene off a small cliff, and was able to run ahead and play a few nasty tricks."
Balto nodded, looking a bit sad for Tina. "I understand... but, if you are from a time way after this, then, won't that be a bit dangerous? If you came here, so couldn't anyone else?"

"He messed up the trail that grandpa left on the trees, and got the sled team lost while he ran home." said Kodi. "And then he played his nastiest trick."
Tina cringed. "Well...that may or may not have happened already." she said. "Something may have came through with me, but considering it got a direct hit from the lightning bolt, it's probably dead."

Katie thought about the next part, trying to put it into the lightest way possible. "He went back to Nome, and told Grandma....Grandpa wasn't coming back. But, she didn't believe him..."
"I don't like that probably part." Balto said, looking about. "What happens if it does come here, Tina?"

"Grandma is too smart to fall for a nasty trick." said Kodi. "Anyway, he told her grandpa fell off a cliff and died, that wasn't entirely wrong, he did fall off a cliff, but he didn't die."
"Ok...how can I say this without freaking you out." said Tina, thinking. "It could destroy Nome...in a night." she said. "And its worse, actually, if it were to say somehow negate its existence or mine, then it'd cause a time paradox and possibly destroy the universe."

"So," Katie began "Grandpa fell off a cliff, and was so ashamed of himself. He didn't want to be part wolf anymore, but he was able to realize that it wasn't all bad." she left out the meeting with the spirit, seeing as the pups were so young.
Balto just stood there, eyes wide. "you're telling me...we could all not exist anymore?"

"So he pulled that great big crate all the way up to the top of the cliff, by himself." said Kodi. "The other sled dogs were very impressed."
"Well that's a possibilty." said Tina. "Ether that, or me and the creature would vanish into thin air but leave behind an altered timeline, or nothing would directly be effected but the time I come from could be completely diffrent." she said. "In all honesty, I don't know, I'm the only being I know of to travel through time, so anything could happen." she stated. "In fact, just by meeting you I proved the past is flexible to some extent."
Jenna blinked in confusion. "I'm sorry, what do you mean?"
"Well humans speculated that if time travel was possible, you couldn't interact in the past or we'd already know of it." said Tina. "Thus me meeting you proves the opposite is true, that we can but we never realize it." she explained. "But just how much you can change it is unknown, for all I know that...genetic demon couldn't destroy Nome even if its still alive and wants to, because if it did, time would be altered to a monumental degree, more than me being here would, thus fate would conspire against it doing so to keep time on the right course. But that's just one possibility."

"Both are possibilities, but there's another." said Tina. "There's a possibility that I'm not changing time at all, that I was supposed to come back here and cause events." she explained. "If I told you not to tell anyone, and you didn't, I wouldn't know, and everything I did would've fit into existing events, this was supposed to happen." she said. "Then there's another option, by some strange result, even if the creature arrives, the end result could alter the future for the better." she explained. "Say it were to slice down a tree, and in a few years, a man would've died because of it. Because he didn't die, he can have children, one of those children could grow up to discover the cure for cancer." she explained. "Make sense?"

Katie smiled wide as Kodi quickly mentioned that they shouldn't play around broken glass. "So when Grandpa got home, he saw the lights and new it was Grandma... And when he got into town, he was greeted as a hero."
Balto nodded. "Then you're either supposed to be here, or you're here by accident, which could destroy the timeline, or universe."

"As for mean old Steele, the fact he'd lied to the entire town got out when Grandpa came back." said Kodi. "The other dogs were so mad that they left Steele all alone." he explained. "So things got turned completely around, grandpa was the outcast then became the hero and Steele was the hero who became an outcast."
Tina nodded. "Yes, but the fact I'm here and the universe still exists seems to imply that the universe is fine." she said. "So in all odds, going back in time won't destroy the universe, but just to be safe, I'll try not to go into detail about your future."
