"Sure!" he said excitedly, then wagged his tail. He followed Rita to the river.

Steele nuzzled Midnight and smiled.

"I was born into a pack that lived on the great plains"Felix said to salome."I can barely remember it because it was so long ago but what I do remember is how warm the summers were and"He poused." And I remember how big the sky was. There wasen't any mountains or trees just lush grassland as far as the eye could see." He said quietly and almost sadly.

Jay smiled as she dove in. He jumped in as well. He could feel his black fur getting soaked by the icy cold water. His muzzle became clean and he swam around and around the lake. He hadnt been in water as cool as this, so he was enjoying it as much as he could. He got closer to Rita and splashed some water on her, then laughed.

Steele began to walk out when a howl hit his ears. It was Cole, than he heard "BANG!" "Oh no!" Steele said running towards the noise.

Jay soon turned to the loud 'BANG!' He gasped a little, then quickly got out of the icy water. He shook his fur, and water splashed around his area. His black fur seemed to flow with the wind as he ran to the spot where Cole was. He turned back quickly to Rita. "C'mon! We gotta hurry!" he said in a worried tone. He was afraid that the hunters might have come back. He ran even faster.

Steele and Jay found Cole laying on a dead hunter. "What happened?" Steele asked. "This guy shot at me, but missed, so I took the chance and killed him." Cole said. "You could of died!" Steele said.

bic:// Jay finally got to the scene and gasped slightly. "Steele's right, you could have killed yourself. What were you thinking? In your condition, you should have been resting this whole time. But even though you're still healing from your last battle, you try to chance death?" he asked Cole.

"Cole what is with you?" Steele asked. "I miss my mate." Cole said.

bic:// "Who was she again?" Jay asked, trying to remember. He didn't exactly have the greatest memory ever, but he did remember that Cole had always seemed to love the alpha female more than anything. "Sorry, bad memory." he said softly.

"Her name was May, but i don't know want happened to her." Cole said.

Jay turned his head in a position so that he couldn't see. While turned around, he gritted his teeth. He knew what happened to May, but he promised her he would never tell. He sighed and turned back. He acted as if nothing happened, but then again, he was a kind bad liar. He tried to smile, but couldn't find the strength too.

"What happened Jay?" Cole asked. Steele backed away not wanting to be in the middle of the fight.
