Russet fell deeper and deeper into what seemed to be death to him. He noticed a glowing red light at the end of his trail and he ran to it. As he ran to the end, he fell into a deep hole under the precipice. When he reached the bottom, he saw the face of Satan: his father ten times bigger than him, towering and smiling darkly. Russet's jaw opened in fright and awe and he ran to the other side of the rock, only to be stopped by father. Russet yelled, but he couldn't do anything. He was swallowed by the shadow as his father came in to kill. Russet woke with a shudder, panting. He winced with the wave of pain.
