what are we supposed to say to ourselves/outloud as many times as we want. And I also don't see how this would work, because, if you wonder around in your mind asking animals if they are your spirit guid, it is your mind who says yes or no, not the animal

I was just now trying to think back into my dreams, to see if any certain animal stuck out, and the only one that i can think of, is once, in a dream, a mountian lion tried to kill me, but i woke up just before it did

Erm ok.. interesting story. Well at least you get to meet your "spirit guide" whether it is real or not.

A hummingbird... that's so lovely. How did you find that out?

I'll tell my real animal totem ONLY if some shaman dude would tell me, not by stupid internet quiz or because I want to be XXX animal.

Your spirit animal is not your choice.

To amend whatever I said in my previous post back when the earth was young, I have found my spirit guide to be a turkey vulture.

Yeah, they're not noble majestic carnivores like everyone else (seriously, everyone is a wolf. What gives,) but the turkey vulture teaches me the lessons I need to learn, and that's what a spirit guide is for.

And to echo the post above, online quizzes won't help. There's an entire animal kingdom and most quizzes just focus on the popular epic or mystical carnivores. Meditation and visiting a shaman will tell you what your totem is.

I am beautiful, no matter what they say...

I completely agree with this. All through the topic, people have been saying "MINE'S A WOLF CUZ WOLFS R AWESOME!!" or "i've always felt a special connection to them cuz they're so beautiful and amazing and i dream about them!!!"
And you can't trust online quizzes, as most of them result in wolves anyway. Wolf spirit guides are actually really rare, funnily enough.

LOL, no. It does NOT work like that. You can't just decide you're a particular animal because you believe they're 'majestic' and 'beautiful' etc. And of course, the majority of them are bloody wolves.

I'd like to think my spirit animal is the Armadillo...why? Because I've always felt conneceted to it - since its short and small, and often is getting hit (I get hit often) by trucks on the road....(Not by trucks though...)
Thats just me. I doubt my "real" animal spirit is the Armadillo at all.

I'm 1% sure of my spirit guide. I feel a special connection to the wolf. I have a tendency to howl a lot, but I always howl to the Northeast. I am always pulled to the North or the Northeast. I can't help my howling, it just happens almost as if it's instinct. I will try that vision quest thing the next couple of nights, and see what happens, but I would like some clarification on the stuff described above. I'm clueless at the moment. :(
