"Sure" Blue answered. They turned aound and headed back for town. Blue smiled. He couldn't wipe it off his face. He was in a good mood. He was with Naira, and best of all, he had news for her. "Naira, because I just KNOW Yonic or Reed will blow the secret....Were going to be competeing in a huge sled dog race soon!" Blue smiled. His tail wagged back forth back forth. This was there first big race, the only other few they had been in were small.

Naira's jaw dropped? "Really?! Oh my gosh!! Thats wonderful!!" she barked. Her tail wagged so hard it looked as if it was gonna fall off.
"I just-..wow! You must be so happy!" She jumped up and kissed him.
Naira blushed, "sorry," she said embarassed. Naira's eyes sparkled. "WHy don't you meet me at the boiler room tonight? We'll celebrate!" She suggested with a huge smile.

"Great!" Blue smiled. He hoped around a bit. "Boler room tonight, got it! Now I gotta go practice, you
can come if you want Naira."he similed.

"Wouldn't miss it! Naira replied! "c'mon! I'll race ya there!" She wags her tail and smiles playfully, then starts running.

Blue smiled and ran after her. Whe he finally caught up, Naira had already won. "Wow, your pretty fast...well...your realy realy fast." Blue smiled. His fluffy tail wagging back and forth. Blue looked around at his team. Everyone, even Spitz was in high spirits. Blue barked. "Blue! Were going to do great, I just know it!" Luke smiled. "Everyone's practicing great!" Blue said. Even Yonic was so focused, he didn't notice Blue. "WIsh me luck." Blue said as he nuzzled Naira before heading to them.

"I'll be rooting for you!" Naira smiled and her big eyes sparkled. She nuzzled Blue and wound her way through the crowd trying to find a good spot. AS she passed the team she nodded silently to Tundra and Yonic.

Blue was silently shaking down to his paws. His tail was wagging faster than he could ever dream of running. He jumped when he bumped into Colm, the dog next to him. "Why Does Spitz have to lead? He's to slow!" Yonic complained. Luke kept quiet a pretended not to hear him. Reed said nothing...he was new. Tunrda called out to her friends in the crowd, and Toloh watched patiantly along with Flash. The Dog team beside him looked threatening. The one to the right looked like they were just lucky to be there. Blue caught sight of Niara and stood tall. I hope she can't see I'm nervous... Blue thought even though he knew she did. He shook his head. Then "BAM" the gun went off. Spitz started off so fast you never would of thought he was his age. Yonic was speachless. Blue held his head high, hoping for the crowd to think he was brave.

Naira's tail wagged back and forth and she watched Blue proudly. She barked at him to show him where she was. Suddenly, the gun went off and Naira jumped and almost knocked over the floofy showdog next to her. "Sorry!" Naira began, but the puffy dog only glared at her.
The people crowded around Naira, eager to get a good spot. Naira gulped, she hated being in tight groups of people. it made her feel nervous and brought back bad memories of the past.
She broke through the crowd needing some air and got sprayed with snow as the teams rushed off.
Naira barked her approval, "You show em, Blue!!"

Hearing those words made Blue's heart leap with Joy. His legs had never gone faster. then he and the reast of the teams ended u p out in the snow. Clear world of it straight ahead. Blue had never felt more important... He ran and ran. It was like he would never get tierd. But a few ours in and his legs started to throb. He heard Yonic howling and yipping. "What? What Is I-." Then Blue saw it...and there was just a short space of open snow ahead. The finnish line. The team seemed to push off. But then...Of all things...another team started to pass them. The leader barked up to Spitz. "What do you say we give these rookies a thrill hey oh' buddy?" He barked. "It's what I've been waiting for. Suddenly Bam both dogs rocketed off in speeds unimaginable. The other struggled to keep up. The Finnish line ahead. The teams were called to a halt. The trophy was brought out, and hannded to the other team. At first, Blue was heart broken, but then he remembered. If he got in atleast thierd he could race again. Blue rushed to see Naira. "Hahah! I didn't think I had it in me!" He barked.

Naira rushed toward him with her tail wagging like crazy! "oh Blue!" She yelped, "I'm so proud of you! You were great out there!" She licks him on the cheek affectionately and turns as the rest of the team approaches them.

"Hey Naira!" Yonic smiled. "How'd you like to be with a winner?" He asked. Blue growled. "Yonic! Naira is with ME!" Blue growled. "Really? I thought you guys were friends!" Yonic blushed. Yonic and the rest of the team walked off. "Wana go celebrate?" Blue asked.

Naira frowned slightly and shook her head at Yonic.
She nuzzled Blue and said, "I'd love to! Where should we go?"

"I was thinking that clift to see the northern lights." Blue smiled. "If that's okay with you, or you can pick a differnt spot." Blue smiled. He really didn't care as long as Naira was happy. His tail was wagging. Now the race had gone to the back of his mind and starting fully focusing on Naira.

"That would be wonderful!" Naira replied. "I was so thrilled the first time! I can't wait to see them again!" She wagged her tail and grinned. "And maybe after that she added, we can go to Moon lake!"

"Moon Lake!" Blue smiled "Prefect." But he honestly didn't know what she was talking about. "Um...remind me where it is again when we go." Blue smiled.
