"Yeah, its not like we can go to a store or anything," Rose said, motioning to her fur covered body. "Maybe we can get one of the neighbors to do it?" she suggested.

"I think they'd be a little freaked out if any one of us showed up on thir doorstep," Danielle said.

"I'll do it!" Ayr volunteered, abscentmindedly raising his hand while he layed, sprawled out on the grass with a piece of straw hanging limply from his jaw. The look on his face gave it away that he had no idea what they were talking about.

Danielle looked down at Ayr with one eyebrow raised. "Have you been listening to what we've been discussing at all?" she asked him.

"Yeah, I'm with Ayr. We'll find a way." Jake shrugged. "Hey, Ayr, want me to come with? Ill be happy to go." He grinned at his friend and put a hand behind his head in a laid back manor.

"Sure bud!" Ayr agreed suddenly jumping up, all of a sudden he was excited. "So should we just say we're mascots and we're doing a scavanger hunt or what?" Ayr said teasinly to Dan. "What the game plan?" He asked, throwing his arm over her shoulders in a fake huddle.

Danielle finally cracked a smile, along with a small sigh. "Alright, alright. Give me a chance to think." She paused, wondering how in the world two walking and talking dogs could go into any store of any kind and come out with no more than a strange look. "Honestly, I have nothing," she finally admitted. "But I highly doubt that you can get away with this fur being any sort of cotume. Its way too real for that to work."

"But what if they were wearing cotumes?" Rose spoke up. "We have to have some costumes upstars. We'll find a way to make them fit one wat or another. But that way the costumes would be real and the storekeeper will know for a fact that they'll fake."

"We know its a bad time but we're just pups you know?" asked Sally, it was true, they were still little and growing sothey needed to eat more often than an adult.

Alice knelt by the pups and stroked hteir fur comfortingly. She looked up at the others. "Teh plan could work actually."

"Heh, good thinking Rose!" Jake hit her arm gently and teasingly, grinning. "I'm willing to try it. Worst case senerio: he doesn't buy it and we run out like hte devil's after us and he goes tot teh assylum!" He said this all very cheerfully to cover his own nervousness.

Danielle bent down and picked both the pups up. "Why don't we all go into the kitchen for a snack?" she suggested, already walking slowly backwards to the back door. "Rose and Jake can go look in the attic for something while the rest of us perfect this plan."

"Thanks," Rose said to Jake with a slight blush. She looked to her older sister. "Alright," she agreed.

"Got any apples?" asked Sue. "I've got a sudden craving for apples...and to dig one out of your garbage which I will ignore for obvious reasons." she said.

Luke giggled. "Thanks momma." he said, licking her nose.

"Yeah thank you." said Sally, licking her as well.
