Ringo had wandered wandred aimlessly until he padded into a clearing, where he sat down and stared at the dirt. ...I can't...one of us has to... Ringo would never admit it but he did care for Zero, but not nearly as close as the way he did with Shy. He squeezed his eyes shut. One of us has to drop this before it goes too far, and it is not going to be me. He thought firmly, puffing out his chest. It was completely unlike Ringo to wander off, to chicken out. But Zero had truely scared him back there, and he wasn't sure he could face that again. " But if I don't go back... he thought, i'll...I'll never see Shy again... He growled at the thought and shook his head. Of course I'm going back! He set his determined red eyes ahead of him and started heading back to the Medren territory. He snickered, his old self again. Besides...who am I to let a scrawny little wolf scare me away from my own pack?

"Oh, Zero." Ringo seethed, chuckling slightly, his eyes glowing. He padded slowly towards her with a straight and stony face, making dust fly with each forboding step. "I will gladly do as you wish.....but are you quite certain that that is what you want? .....That you will go....without a fight?" A slow smile spread across his face as he spoke each word in a hollow voice. The fur on his neck stood on spikes, but his rage was easily concealed. Zero had crossed a carefully drawn line, and now she would play as soon as Ringo broke her physically. And emotionally.

Shy was stunned by the sudden attack and coughed up a cloud of dust. The weight was then suddenly lifted off of her. She shook her head to clear her confused mined. She could see Ringo almost on top of her with Zero reganinig her balance. "what's going on!" She yelped. She then listened to Zero's statement and was shocked. She then looked at Ringo. "Would you really?..." But she was to shocked to finish her question. She got to her paws and jumped iin between the two wolves. "Stop you two are pack members! You shouldn't be fighting. I may not know much about being in a pack. But I remember my father saying that comradship was one of the most important things!" She looked at them both but stoped at Ringo, "This is because of me isn't it?".

Shy met Ringo's gaze only for a moment. But that was enough. She couldn't stand his tortured eyes. She slowly stepped back. Not wanting to look at Zero. She scuffled over to a bush, her tail between her legs. She could see Kiska watching from the cave entrance and wasn't surprised if he was enjoying the whole drama unfolding befor him.

Zero spun around in a confused daze as Ringo took blow after blow on her. She panted slightly and jabbed her paw out at Ringo, hoping to catch him, but she didn't. Zero's vision began to blur as she felt a huge ammount of blood leave her body. She nearly collapsed more than once but kept to her feet. As soon as Ringo paused Zero made her move. She lept onto his back again, knowing that she wasn't going to do much and sank her teeth into the back of his neck. But it wasn't a strong bite, she just barley broke through the skin before the loss of blood weakened her. She toppled off of Ringo and landed on her ground, blood pouring out of all the bite marks everyone. She let her eyes droop slightly as she looked up at Ringo. She knew she had been defeated and she knew what was going to happen next. The white side of her fur was stained with blood and rose up and down along with the sound of her ragged breathing. Laying on her side she looked small, skinny, and helpless. A few grotesque cuts were scattered among her torn body, along with her mangled paw and bite marks everywhere. Her half closed eyes never left Ringo's face as she found she was to weak to speak, but even if she could she wouldn't plead for mercy. She knew what she was panning on doing and she knew the results. But she couldn't help but wonder, what would Ringo do? Would he really kill his packmate? A she-wolf he had known since puppyhood? Seeing how small and frail now would he really kill her? Zero couldn't help but wonder.

Ringo stared into Zero's eyes, saw, but felt nothing. He was disconnected, floating in between the dark spaces between what is right, and what is easy. His face fell as he saw the havoc he had wreaked upon this wolf who had loved him, and the sinister glaze in his eyes left to reveal the sympathetic red irises of a torn soul. He perked up his ears and glanced back at Shy. He did this for her....but he had been terrifying...He might have just chased away the very thing he sought to protect. His body, barely touched, was trembling now. He raised his head and let out a triumphant, but strangely hallow howl. Ringo felt as if he had kicked the life out of a loyal dog for keeping him from a vile of poison...Ringo loved Shy. But she would be his downfall. It was all to apparent in Zero's defeated, yet hopefull gaze. He spoke quietly, his red hair hanging in his eyes. "Leave, Zero." he said in a voice that sounded like sandpaper being dragged across velvet.
