Has it really been awhile since I have last posted? Apparently so. lol I am still a huge Balto fan and I actively still collect things from this movie whenever I am able too. Since my last post I have added a few things to my collection. I am considering selling/trading off my doubles since I really don't need duplicates in my collection. I spoke with the actual animator who worked on the film when I bought my Balto preproduction sheet recently. She is pretty cool and I am happy to have bought an original animation artwork, I look forward to adding more animation artwork to my collection.

I am also now the proud owner of a KFC Balto figure from the UK so I am gonna share some pictures below of him and my new animation artwork drawing. I also happened to complete my Hardees Balto set so I will add a picture of him as well.

So you’re selling everything now including the KFC figure you only just got???

BALTOGIRL98 · **Posted:** Sat Jan 05, 2019 11:02 pm

Acanis, No. I took down everything on my EBay since I knew I was gonna regret it if I sold them. It was mainly peer pressure because I am not supposed to like Balto still at 20 so now I am just like I don't care what other people think anymore. I love Balto and that is never gonna change.

Some of the stuff you sold was stupidly cheap and I doubt you’ll be able to replace it.

BALTOGIRL98 · **Posted:** Mon Jan 07, 2019 8:38 am

Oh I agree. I lowered the price of the items due to the fact people were complaining I priced my items "too high."

In the end I decided not to sell my collection. I knew I was gonna regret it. I love my collection too much. I started to collect since I was 14, I'm 20 now so yeah. It's been many years worth of collecting. The only thing I lost out of the collecting was some model sheets that I printed off the net a few years ago. I can always reprint those again so not a total loss. Lol

By the way, who is the lucky person who bought this cel? I looked at sold listings and saw it in there. Lol It sold fast. I was like darn it. XD I still want to figure out how to make my own custom cels.

I need to update my collection later today.

But I recently got a Jenna model sheet off of EBay from one of the animators who worked on the film! Also I am gonna recreate that Balto towel the best I can. XD

Acanis · **Posted:** Mon Jan 07, 2019 10:17 am

Not a total loss then.

I’ve bought a few bits from I assume the same person. I found them on Twitter a while back and then suddenly they wanted to sell everything! I got a few drawings from them.

Re: the cel it was up for a while but weirdly I couldn’t find it through eBay searches. It’s not even showing up in completed items from where I’m looking. I did see it via a 3rd party site and the person selling had quite a few watchers and had received a few offers. Long story short I’m expecting a delivery tomorrow

BALTOGIRL98 · **Posted:** Mon Jan 07, 2019 12:19 pm

Oh wow! That is awesome! Congrats on winning it! I didn't realize they had so many cels like that. Where did people get these? A catalog of some sort? XD

And that is awesome! I saw a Balto one but couldn't get him since he had already sold before I could snag him. But I did get the Jenna one which I am most excited for as I never see any production artwork of Jenna out there it seems. Lol I have a few from them. I have photocopied drawings of Steele, and a pre production drawing of Steele.

Acanis · **Posted:** Mon Jan 07, 2019 2:25 pm

I’d love to know how many cels are actually out there, I know someone in CA who owns a lot but he had a friend who could get a significant discount. There’s someone else with an amazing one of Balto and aside from a couple of randoms such as on Steele’s fan page website etc I don’t know of any others. They were originally available via a catalogue direct with the studio and I suspect quite a few got made and bought by galleries - this was one of them.

There are quite a few Jenna drawings out there, I’ve got a good selection personally which most of which can be seen on https://m.facebook.com/BaltosVault/

I don’t collect Balto anymore. I don’t feel like I need to have everything ever made and I’m content with what I have. More than likely won’t be updating this again, but this is everything I’ve got. Love it all.

Didn’t think I’d ever be updating this again, but as it turns out some good finds have practically been thrown in my lap lately. I’ve got one other thing I’ll be showing when I get it, but for now... I stumbled across this in a Facebook seller post (by complete accident by the way, I wasn’t even searching for Balto) for sale in my home state and it only cost me $12. I just couldn’t say no.. the original Balto demo tape!

Paxis · **Posted:** Wed Mar 13, 2019 2:50 pm

Dang, what a cool find, Mykie! $12 is such a great deal. Congrats.

One item that's some consolation for getting old

. the memory of seeing it in the cinema when it was first released.

Thought I’d replace the last post of mine and just show my entire Balto plush collection. Some of my most prized possessions on planet earth. Someday I’ll show my whole Balto collection again.
