Well, according to PETA, what is done in the US is giving the animals an electric shock to... certain parts on the opposite side of the body from the head, which gives them a heart attack... it's sick, but I am morally opposed to real fur gotten in any way, shape, or form. If we can make artificial fur, then that's what should be used.
Excactly. But then, that's fashion today isn't it? What costs more is apparently 'better'.

I think that is wrong, then people just have to go out and kill more animals. It hurts more then it helps.

Well, the point of throwing the paint/blood balloons on the fur coats is because the fur coats are so expensive, that paint and blood ruins them, and therefore people won't want to waste a whole lot of money again, and it also makes people think "I should stop wearing fur, because it's only going to get paint thrown on it," well, usually...

What do you think of stuffed animals? I mean, real stuffed animals. Like a stuffed moose head or something? They're pretty expensive.
For me, I think stuffed animal heads look rather ghastly. But when it comes to cruelety being involved, if the animal was already dead then it's not so bad.

So please no Flaming, we dont need comments where all you say is stuff like: "I hate those people that skin animals I hope they all burn " This is a topic to aquire a better understanding of what the fur industry is about and how some aspects of it are wrong. Don't be the one to not read this post and just jump in and start flamingI'll start by saying that in Asia there are no animal cruelty laws so they can do what ever they want to animals. But often the animals are skinned alive. This is really sick and wrong, and yet there is no real point for it. We dont need fur anymore we no longer need it to keep us warm we have new fabrics that keep us warm. Yet they could use a more humane way to get the fur, just by killing them frist, injection of something that would cause a painless death would work.
OK you want to say getting the fur of the animals is right and great but not painful? Why killing an animal to have the fur? This is as you would say: It's great to get money illegal but the victim should not feel pains.

No it's not, it's making use of the head. After something like a deer is killed the meat is cut from the animal, along with the head. The head is sent out to be stuffed and the meat is eaten.
My grandparents have about 7 deer heads in their house. And I've grown up with them, my dad had one at ours too. So I've never seen anything wrong with them.

I've done my share of boycotting fur places. Whenever my aunt shows up with fur, I'm like. "I like your coat. How many animals you have to kill for THIS one?" Then she gets mad at me. It's all great fun.

My grandmother has a mink coat with a matching hat. She loves it. I dont have too much of a problem if the animal was taken care of and was killed in a humane way.
