Well so many The Lion king Fans?:S Well well..Oh My God..I guess ...I think i agree with Starsky,one of reasons Balto is more adored is because it's based on a true story.
But about similirizations I guess because TLK was done before Balto..Probably Universal has gotten inspired from it?(sorry don't insult me if I said something wrong XD)

Well, The Lion King is still an excellent movie (and it's sequels aren't bad...I happen to REALLY like Lion King 1½).

However, comparing them is illogical. They are completely different, and about different things. And, as many have already said, Balto 1 is at least based upon a true story. None of the Lion King movies are. There are similarities in the characters and some of the most basic plot lines (I've made an article about this), but that is where the similarities end.

I loved the Lion King. But if I had to choose between the two, I'd go for Balto. It means more to me.

But Balto didn't get as much praise as it deserved. I suppose that the Lion King had a greater chance because it was Disney. Gah.. Disney is over-rated.
