Plus, cage? I went to the zoo one time and I seen two lions in a BIG BIG "cage". It had huge rocks, alots of water, and more. I seen one of the lion on a rock, and it seemed pretty happy.
As all of the animals seemed pretty happy. It was a huge place, huge space for them, water, big rocks, and stuff to climb on and all kinds of stuff .. I love the Zoo.

If someone is interested I can send him my last video of our tigers. Very happy! Going up, going down...like the hyene...or the lioness....like all animals! :?
But I don't think that someone here is interested because the most people think the animals love that! It's better than living in the big nature, in the forests...

Open? Ehehe, our cages are closed. OK serious: I don't know the m² but it's no question that no zoo has enough space for the wolves than wolves need in the nature.

You do know that wolf are also set into boundries by other wolf packs? And anyway they mainly use that land to hunt for food, they need enough to explore(They probibly have some set amount of space for each wolf in the zoo)

Teh, think their current enclosures are cages? Find out what their cages looked like in maybe the 20's and compare them to now. I think you'll change your mind.

I guess that's where you live, the animals are happy and have alot of room here. So do the Fish at the aquarium, they seem happy.

Depends what kind of zoo, really.

You get the kind that keeps the animals in small cages where the animals feel surrounded and get stressed - the zoo is just there to make money. Or there's the kind that actually cares for the animals and gives them large enclosures. If they've been bred in captivity anyway, then surely they're protected in a zoo?

Then there's the Wildlife Park. And to all those people who say they're the same as zoos then you're wrong. The animals have wide open enclosures and it's all spread out over a lot of land. Whereas a zoo is rather enclosed itself.

So, just saying that zoos should be banned isn't right. If the species is endangered the zoo/park is protecting it.

Actually the animales are some times cared for better in the zoo than in the wild, in the zoo they get a warm bed, fed everyday places to hide when thay dont want to be in human sight
And dont put a downer on Luna's day, The zoo is very kool I have been to many zoo's myself and they are fantastic have a good time :)

The nature gave them the life for living free. Not that people can visit them in cages. Do you know a park where animals can visit caught people? :?

Most people do not hunt and they want to have more space than 20m² too, or not?
And low space for living is aggression. THe wolves bite the others and they need violence for achieving.

Yes, so it seems. For you. But it isn't. For the fishes.

Cool, Luna! I love zoos! Except, well, now I'll be sad going to them, because I'll be reminded of Steve Irwin. . . :(

Cages? You people are really. . . Wow. Have you been to every single zoo in the world? If you ask me, not all animals are stuck in cages. They have enough space to roam around, and they're fed daily, and they usually do release them back in the wild, once they're grown up.
Stop always thinking negatively.

Umm ok, Atlanta, where i live has the worlds biggest aquarium. It that's not big enough for them all is lost.

In Califonia they have a tiger program where, onece the tigers are born they take them from their mother and a zoo keeper will take care of them untill they are older, now this means the tigers have a much better chance of living. Now i know what your going to say, they took them from their mother, but as humans we have to do it too. Adoption, when a parent can not give their child the best care and they know it.

And if you want to talk about being close together then go To New York City, and most people there love it.

Yeah, The zoo I go to is great. The animals seem pretty happy.

Heres some pics of the Zoo I went too;(See how much space they get?)

THESE PICS ARE (C) BY ME! And should NOT be used, taken, stolen in ANY way.
Image
The Lions (Only half of the space they get, you haven't seen the other half.;))

More, but unsure which animal this is for. xD

And more, unsure which animal this is for. (This isn't just that tiny bit of space. I couldn't take pics of the whole thing .. it's very big.)
