Well, I'd have to say yes. Nuka is always making such a big deal about Kovu not being Scar's son. Follow this:

Zira love Scar
Scar love Zira
First had Nuka
Then had Zitani
One was too scrawny and stupid
The other was a girl
Scar chose a different female's baby

to be fair it never said Scar loved Zira back. She was more of a groupie most likly the most devoted in the pride. He may have just used her for the most trusting of "lacky work" if he had any. Because of her age I doubt vitani is scar's cub since she looks the same age as Kovu he was probly just the last born because he entered the world after his sister. This topics hard to answer since there's no mention of who Zira's mate was but it wouldn't make much since for her to mate with scar and then cheat on him with another male. If she was so devoted then why would she run astray? If Nuka is scar's son then she have had to have already been with her mate and had cheated on that lion rather then scar. Either way there's gaps and questions of why

Yeah, that makes sense. Why would Zira cheat on the lion that she clearly loves so much? Let's say she loved a lion, had Nuka and was pregnant with Vitani and Kovu. Then they broke up for whatever reason, and THEN Zira fell madly in love with Scar. It's more intuitive than Zira loving Scar, having Nuka (and Vitani?) and then suddenly doing an about-face and going for a different guy. It would be too far out of character.

And Kovu being the baby of "another female" seems a bit too complex for how the story stands: if Kovu weren't really related to Zira, wouldn't it have been a notable point in the conflict, something the screenwriters would have stressed? I don't think any normal viewers aside from us crazed TLK fanatics would ever think, "Oh, hey, I'll bet Zira adopted Kovu!" It diverges too much from the obvious, and it serves nothing for the more important aspects of the movie.

I agree. I think Vitani and Kovu are blood siblings though that another lion sired with Zira as their mother. She is probably all of their mother.

According to Disney, here's how it happened:

Scar + Zira = Victani and Nuka
Unknown Lion + Zira = Kovu

That makes a lot more sense

I think he is. That's my theory as to why he's so upset that Kovu is the chosen one instead Scar's real son.

Huh? Disney never said anything about that. All Disney said was:

Zira + Someone = Nuka, Vitani, Kovu
Zira + Scar ? Kovu

And about the appearances thing... You say that Nuka looks like Scar? Well, Kovu looks like Scar too. "Looks" just don't qualify as proof here, especially since every single Outsider was modeled after Scar anyway because they were supposed to be "evil."

Seth2208, over on the main site (I don't know if he's on the forums), found a very interesting quote. After Nuka has died, Zira says, "Scar, watch over my poor Nuka." Notice that she says "MY poor Nuka," not "OUR poor Nuka." It seems that Zira sees Scar as a sort of deity, a long-dead lion who was once her king. She prays to this deity to watch over her son, just as many people address their own deities today. This automatically puts distance between Zira's family and Scar. Scar serves as an object of reverence and adoration here, distant from any relationship with Nuka.

Well, at first I thought that Nuka was Scar's son and Vitani and Kovu were the children of someone else. But after reading your article, Mahewa, I now believe that NONE of them are Scar's children. You make brilliant points in argument and while everyone is entitled to their own opinion, yours is probably the most logical (because it has the most supporting evidence).

It annoys me how everyone's all like "Zira cubnapped Vitani!" and their only reason for thinking this is appearances. FYI, Vitani looks like Zira and *gasp!* Blue eyes? Pink nose? Well we don't know who Vitani's father was, so he could've had blue eyes and a pink nose!

I don't mean to take away from anybody's ideas/thoughts here, but you can't argue with facts. It's like going to court with a hunch and no evidence whatsoever.

That's what I've always said: Evidence, evidence, evidence. You've got to have evidence. No offense to anyone, but I have yet to see a thread or article with notable evidence saying, "Yes, Nuka and Scar are related." They always say, "Oh, Nuka was outraged at Kovu, that must mean he's Scar's son!" when it could just as easily be a typical case of sibling rivalry. If anyone can find some more original evidence, I'll gladly read it.
