Well, I for one believe sentience exists elsewhere than on Earth. But you know, the UFO thing, it is fun to believe and research these kinds of things, as in my life, not much happens....I guess what I'm trying to say is...the hope is there.

I too beleive that there's something else out there, but no one has proven it, and it won't be proved for millions of years most likely.

How can we research for something, that was never on earth? =P I say that there are aliens and they have starships etc... maybe some kind of alliances, but they were never here on earth, it doesn't matter if they did not find us yet, or they do not want to cantact us (maybe better that way).

The rate were going, Earth will be a spec in space in a million years. With all the pollution, and the O-Zone layer ever-so-slowly wearing off. You know, I'm going to start a topic on what people think about some of the things that are happening.

The TV channels already did show worse, so definately YES. You shouldn't just believe every sh!t they show you.
Up on the question wether UFOs exist, I can say as much as that they do. Why? Because the term UFO simply is misunderstood as some crazy starship driven by Aliens, while it actually doesn't mean more than "Unidentified Flying Object". In the military you define an aircraft as "Unidentified Flying Object" when you weren't able to determine what aircraft type and model it was, and if you eventually couldn't distinguish if it was an enemy or a friend. This inability usually comes from environmental circumstances (weather, radio disruption, phenomena caused by differently heated air-layers...). So, UFOs exist - and there are various real sightings throughout our lifetime.
Does extraterrestrial life exist? Well, we exist, don't we? That should be evidence enough that we can't be the only living organisms out in space. But the actual question has to be: is it likely that another organism already became as intelligent as mankind? In my opinion it's very exceptional what happened throughout human evolution, as various conditions need to be given that such a brain alone can be developed. Actually it's even a negative development which humans needed to survive first, before the modern man could become reality. The development of a brain that allows mental capabilities of a higher grade sets enormous energy demands to an organism and causes in any case a bigger death rate at gestation and birth, for mothers and offspring. Today it isn't much of a deal for us to handle, as we simply hospitalize the mother and try to assure that both, mother and baby, survive the birth (and you will be surprised, it still happens quite often that one of the two dies at the hospital) - but first we had to get to the point where we could take influence on our own biology, before we even could think of building something like a dominant species.
Additionally... advanced life forms can exist on earth because of the excellent conditions given by the planet. The reduction of UV radiation is a very important part for making something like that possible, and an efficient metabolism needs to be developed first as well.
Life itself can exist under the most unimaginable circumstances, but an advanced form of it needs to belong to a perfectly working environment. This means as much as that advanced life-forms are rare, and at no point similar to another one. It also means that those environments - where advanced life forms can exist - mostlikely are too far away of each other as that we only could think about meeting up with them once, or that they eventually already visited us. Even if another superintelligent organism exists, it's bound to the same physical limits as we are on our own planet, and it's very unlikely that they found a way to generate enough energy to travel from solar system A to solar system B, not to mention that they'd need to protect themselves against the massive radiation and collisions with certain matter.
So, an Alien, if there's already been one on our planet, surely wouldn't be a green little man with 1 head, 2 arms and 2 legs. Simply out of evolutions nature they'd have to look COMPLETELY different.
If you can take an advice - then simply don't believe in the rubbish media wants to make you believe.

Yeah, same as I have never been in presence of God, ghosts or any other paranormal trash people wanted to make me believe. I'm 24, often working outdoors (in many different places), doing military service and being scientifically interested. I haven't ever seen a phenomenon that couldn't be explained with simple physics, thermodynamics, radio waves, light waves or human technology. What I on the other hand know, that's how powerful human imagination is, so that people begin to manifestate what they want to be true - far from any rational conclusions about what they've really seen.
So, I'm sorry people - Aliens haven't ever been on Earth, as no evidence exists for that. You shouldn't just trust in the words of other people claiming that they've seen an extraterrestrial vehicle, same as not any reflex in the lens of a camera automatically has to be such a vehicle. This is not X-Files here, this is real life.

I guess Ecliptica isn't gonna come up with evidence to support his argument. Investigation results: Ecliptica's fighter jet vanishing and the government saying it was an alien space ship is a hoax. Case closed, move on.
The latest find I can scrounge up about UFOs was a report written by Leonard David of CNN world news. It's dated June 23, 2006.

Here is a link to where you can hear the radio brodcast from a few of the heads of the Americian milatary confirming it:
http://www.coasttocoastam.com
That link will have the many radio brodcast's about it, basicly coasttocaost am is a radio station done by ... ***** what was his name, it used to be art bell but its someone new and I always forget his name, well anyway his radio station is just outside of Area 51 which is one of the biggest on UFO's and other things to due with space and anyway, he gets secret information from the Area 51 base and brodcasts it, he also has a few members on the inside aswell and anyway, the year of 2006 Nasa and all the other space corerations are going to reveal everything of what they studied and workded on for many years, one of the main things is UFO's and ET's, they said they were going to reveal everything because they can't hide it anymore, to many people know about it and liening to then saying it's not real and all the exerperments would not be a good idea because many know to much, so they agreed to relese all the information, the hottest topic and reasuch and the most imortnat is UFO'sand ET's, They reveald alot already and are still going....
And sorry to any who got afread of this, im deeply sorry it wasn't ment to scare anyone, it was just to be something of anyone who is interested in this kind of stuff^^ theres nothing to be afread of, if we exist, what's saying that we are the onlyones to exisct? if we were the only others, then there is no need for all the other planetes, there for bring up that conclusion of other beings^^
I am not sure why ET's would scare people though, to them were the ET's so there's really nothing to be afread of.
I also think I remember seeing something about an ET corpse that was being studied by Nasa many years back, but that could have been a hoex, but just think, human kind has only seen about 3% of the whole universe, to what scientsts say, so just imagan what else could live in the other 97%? heheh wow, brings alot of thoughts just thinking of it^^....
But im sorry if this scared anyone or offended them....
