AOL go to hell.
It only took me 2 seconds to guess that the problem was this, because when it happens, it's always due to AOL shared ips.
Yes I have the confirmation that the problem is this, I've checked the IPs of the people who said were banned because of this, and they all use AOL.
The mods can use this to confirm if an IP is AOL or not :
http://network-tools.com/default.asp?pr ... 188.116.72
When this happens, the mods should unban the IP and try another way to solve the problem.

I guess we can add this to the list of the many reasons why AOL sucks. I know Live Journal has been having a lot of problems with AOL too.

OOH OOH HERE'S ANOTHER ONE Back when my forum was actually alive (XP), I had a few incredibly active members. Two of them had a major problem with the board, though; their AOL e-mail addresses would automatically block any e-mails from my board because it thought they were spam. This was a real pain in the butt when proboards started requiring account activation on their boards. So yeah, AOL is not so great in my eyes, for this and MANY, MANY other reasons. (<<UNDERSTATEMENT) I had AOL a long time ago. Phew, glad that nightmare's over. Thank God for DSL.
Lucky. You get DSL. I live in the middle of nowhere...half a mile too far from a town to get DSL, so we have broadband that doesn't work half of the time.
My hotmail account blocked e-mail from here in the past, but I have since moved on to Gmail (praise them). I have heard nothing but bad stuff about AOL.
