Except those Germans who opposed the Nazi party's practices. Those were imprisoned or killed. Many Germans lived under a cloak of fear and oppression the likes of which have only rarely been equalled today (though there are examples). No matter how much good the Nazi party may have accomplished for Germany, the terrible things it did utterly cancel those good things out, the way I see it.

Eh I still like him a bit. I'm a Republican but I dont always root for my home team. Eh I'm optomistic about next election, I'm mad I'll miss voting by 27 days but I hope if Hillary Cliton races, she loses.

But we're getting a little off topic and into something that WILL cause a fight.

I don't really care, it all depends on what the person is for. If he or she is for protecting the enviroment and trying to find other fuel sources, among other things, most likely they'll be getting my vote.

When it comes to our president.. I think I'm going to vote for one of the other guys. You know, the guys you don't see on TV.

I voted for democracy because it is the best form of government there is and goes hand in hand with the best possible economy that there is: capitalism. It is because of the wonderfil freedoms those of us who live in Democratic countrys that we are able to criticize our president, as well as discuss whom we want to see elected as well as the issues that the candidate would take on in their term. However, even when we disagree it should be done in a civil manner. This presidents term has had points of praise, and points of scorn, but what has been the most disturbing to me was the reaction of the media. THe media during this presidents term has been so amazingly obscene it is appalling! They have taken every turn they can to say something slanderous, mudsling, or dehumanize him in their reports. Those of you who don't know this, all those TV polls are very easy to manipulate, what you do is ask YES or NO and give no gray area. Also they have made a point of showing absolutley NO positive things that have occured, or if they have made sure to downplay it or touch on it for no time what so ever. I have friends and family in Iraq. I hear a much diffrent story from then from what I hear on the news. I will leave Iraq at that. However, when it comes to issues at home, for those of you who don't know this the deficit has shrunk at a rate that they could only have dreamed off with the effects of the recent tax breaks takin affect, also the economy is on the rise (yes Oil prices have been a factor in that, but not the entire reason -_-) , homeownership is at an all time high in the US, and buisnesses are begining to return due to mroe friendly tax laws in the country and due to the fact that the wealthy are now willing to move their money. As much as some may dislike to admit it, wealthy people are many reasons why Americans have jobs! It is only by ewalthy people deciding to invest their money in companies, houses, as well as in the form of loans that companies are able to start and continue.

*brain fizzle* Wow that is a lot. That ain't meant to start a fight -_- just give the other view of things in an organized fashion.

Great Job!! Lol Amazing points! Yah a direct source is hard to disprove. but one thing that was left out was that in the 70's the gas prices were at an all time high, and you had limits on how much gas you could buy. And it doesnt seem to affect the car makers still we're in a Horse Power Race.

yes but the 1970's also were also due to the fact that they stopped oil production. This day and age is not that we in competition which is why the prices are being driven up. China has changed a lot since the 70's and has become much more friendly to the Capitlist style economy while still beating down on its people. With that increased capitol in the system people are able to afford more goods, and start compaines so their oil use has gone way up! Now it is who can afford to pay for it before collapsing in on themselves, or finding an alternate fuel source. Truth be told people should be loving this becaues it is forcing car companies to make Green cars! and soon it will force them to start having Hydrogen fuel stations, Biodiesel, and other green car fueling stations. Has anyone else noticed the huge increase of green car fueling station increasees in the past years? Or more frequent use and designs for them? That is because the economy is forcing car manufactures to move toward cleaner bruning, more efficent cars so people will buy them because of gas prices.

But this also leads people to think hybrid cars are superior with gas milage, when the extra money they spend will take some where in the 6-didgets of miles to pay back, this is on one car I know of so far, the new Toyota Camery witch does 6mpg better then the faster V6 for a few grand less. Lesson: learn about the car your going to buy and figure out all the price points.

True they are, but the Luxury segment has very small amounts of alternative cars, Lexus, Mercedes and BMW are coming out with their Rang Toppers with new Eco friendly engines.

While now most car that are out that are hybrids are smaller cars witch lack power, while Diesel cars witch Europe has embraced uses less fuel. Though I think the price of Diesel is still more then regular gas. But they also are proven at being powerful just look at their torque.

I think right now there should be a little more diesel car options like in europe. Also another thing that they should do is to cut out more weight.
