But, I truley believe that animals don't have souls like people do.

Yes, they show emotion like sadness, happiness and pain. And yes, some animals can be very intelligent. But, unlike people, animals are not concious of what's going on in the world around them.

You can teach a monkey to read a newspaper, but you can't teach it to feel sorrow for the world. An animal will fight to protect itself and it's young, and if one of it's young die, the animal will mourn for a period of time...But not like a human mother mourning the loss of her child.

Also, I know 99% of the people here don't believe in G-D, but you are capable of believing....animals are not.

*please don't flame me. just speaking my mind*

Seriously, I once wrote an article that seems to be worth reading for you: http://www.terrasco.net/index.php?locat ... @Free_Will

Don't underestimate the social capabilities of animals.

No, I believe they don't.

I'll listen to the Bible, mainly more than I'll listen to all of you.

Humans, however, do have souls. Animals do not.

No one is really going to change my mind, so try if you want, or flame me if you wish. Your only going to start a war, most likely.

^-^ Of couse, all of you are over-crazy animal fans and I don't mean that in a mean way, of couse most of you are going to say that animal has souls, even if they didn't. I am not as crazy over animals as all of you, but yeah. Not trying to get too much off topic, and I didn't mean this in a mean way. No need to start a fight with me.

OF COURSE animals have souls  They express feeling and emotion, and besides, they are hardly different from humans, soem walk on four legs, some have fur or scales or feathers, some aren't that clever, but they still have souls

If they didn't have souls; They'd be dead

Just speakin' my mind. That's my theory and I'll stick to it!

Actually, I'm what one considers as a scientifically minded person. Indeed I love animals over everything else, but that doesn't blind my capability of doing rational conclusions. Indeed, you can say that animals don't have souls, and mostlikely they really don't have spiritual souls - but as I've already mentioned before: the question has to be turned the other way around -> do humans have what religious people claim to be souls?

I do not want to start a war, but... let me ask you one question: How can you believe in a book, which was copied thousands of times and changed with each copy by the writers, which was translated from other languages (and the translators DID mistakes) which was CHANGED BY THE POPES OF THE MIDDLEAGE (they did everything that was necessary to gain power), a book where are many mistakes in (It's proved, e.g: the number of the devil is NOT 666, it is 616)

Well, your choice... but i would be glad if you answer that question.

so, you say: 'we were created in "his" image'... I can just say it again... the todays bible is so full of translation mistakes etc... a religion needs a SOLID base... and not a book with mistakes.
An other point why i can't belive in the bible is the FACT that the devil was invented by the church. The greek god "Pan" was the origin for the big bad devil in the bible.

I do believe animals have souls.

Animals have all the same emotions as humans do just not always to the same extent, an elephant herd will mourn the death of a member of that herd for a very long time and chase off any predators.

I believe animals have more of a soul than humans do, people will do all sorts of evil and terrible things to each other, take 9/11 for example, people hi-jacked planes and flew them into a building filled with thousands of people most of whom were doomed never to escape the towers and that was one person to another and people will kill others in cold blood and could'nt careless, beat people to within an inch of their lives with no remorse.

Animals do not do that, a predator will stalk and kill another animal for food but never ever for fun or hate, a wolf fighting for dominance of a pack will never kill the submissive wolf however the battle turns out, not a single animal will harm another without just cause, humans do.

I live with animals everyday of my life like many others and can see their soul all the time, I know that sounds stupid but it's true.

Just because animals don't wear clothes, drive cars and live in brick structures like we do does'nt mean they are'nt like us inside.

...And personally I don't trust the bible one little bit, the bible was man-made and has been changed and re-written hundreds of times so what makes it so believeable and trustworthy? Trust is earned and that goes for books too, I won't believe it and besides...in the end, it is just a book.

I don't know, but I still believe that animals don't have souls.

I would have to agree with what wolfgurly666 ..

You can believe in whatever you want, as I believe in what I want.
You will not change what I believe in, and you can try. I love animals, but I don't believe they have souls..

But please, let's not start a war. I am sure there is going to be one sooner or later, but let's try our best not to start a war. Oh well, no need to repeat myself. I said what I said. I believe I am done. If you have anymore questions, then go ahead and post them. I'll try to answer in the most honest, kindest way I can.

Alright: if souls exist, and if they are preserved in some continoum after death, then you'd have to agree that this soul is represented in some sort of energy, right?

Now, if ANY human soul gets stored in heaven (or hell, if you want), how do you explain that there's always enough of "space" for them to exist? Each time a human dies another soul would be added to that dimension/collector/battery (whatever you'd classify it)... and the overflow would simply be preprogrammed. Considering the fact how overpopulated mankind already is, that'd be a massive problem to handle for our gods ;)

First off: A deffinition:
"The best word we have for describing our inner reality—our non-physical self." (at all a "ghost")

It is proved that some animals are STILL in a house, after dying, as a ghost.
Scientists could meter electromagnetic flieds in the house that were "wandering" though it. There fields have not been there before.

So, if they are still there, they MUST HAVE a "non physical self"

If you don't like the one above then read this one:
Animals MUST have ghosts (soul), because every animal is different like humans are.. in their behavior or look.
They can learn things, they learn every day, like we do.
The biggest problem here is, that most of the people think if they hear the word "soul" on a "ghost" like the one from humans. But have you ever thought about that it just could be different ghosts in these bodies? You can't say that an animal is a human.
The thing you all can't deny is: the animals live, and if they live, they have a ghost in them, because they learn, etc... and a ghost is a soul.

At all: Animals have souls.

Actually, this has NEVER been confirmed by a reliable research team. In all cases these tests were done by biased people (hence, those who claim to study paranormal activity). Things like that a body loses weight when the soul leaves it can easily be falsificated, with the most simple explanations of biology and biochemistry. Same as "electromagnetic fields" in a room always exist, simply caused by mobile phones, radio, military radio... and so on.

i think some people have just lost whats most important in life , whereas animals havnt , some people dont realsise how much suffering u have to do as an animal, trying to suvive each day, no medicines, no technique of protecting yourself, i think they have just as much soul as humans, and at the end of the day, there just happy there alive :)
