Hello fellow artist and drawers!
It's been a while since I have added anything to my gallery for you all to enjoy. Well, I'm working on an entry! But because of my long time inactivity to the gallery I have decided to try digital coloring instead of coloring by color pencils. Everything was moving along just fine until it was time to color. I tried using Microsoft PhotoDraw v1, which has a very odd and very bad way of coloring anything, and Paint, makes everything pixelly and ugly and just plain bad.
My question to you is this:
Is there a program or service that colors efficient without changing the image too much?
Note: I intend not to spend a ton of money on a program, but if hear good opinions on a expensive program, then I may consider to buying it... or whatever.
Also, please show me examples on what the program can do.

I use a few programs that work nicely. I combine them to make what I do. I cant afford PhotoShop at the moment, so these are what I use.
Paint.NET
Gimp
PhotoFilter
Paint.NET is kinda like paint, but much better. I generally use that to color, and I havent quite used Gimp yet, but I am messing with it. Here is an example of what I did with Paint.NET...

Well, since nobody posted anymore programs, I have decided to just pick one. That program is *drum roll* Paint.net.
And here's the result:
Not bad for a first time... if I do say for my self.
Drawn by pencil then scanned, which is when I started this topic, then colored.
