A one. Seriously, Arya=Arwen, Eragon=Aragorn, Brom=Gandalf, elves are wise magical mysterious folk, dwarves are short, tough, drink mead ,and live underground. Humans are a problematic race trying to survive and theres an evil overlord governing his empire. This book combines Lord of the Rings ,Star Wars and the works of several other authors into a thick bound mess.
I'm not as good at explaining the problems with it but there are others that are ,just google eragon hate and read the words of those who see reason.
Don't flame me please this is my viewpoint and I will stand by it, I am a reformed eragon liker. You could say I saw the light. [/b]

I really like Eragon, and Im currently reading it's second book (Eldest). And although it is very interesting, action-packed and full of unique characters, I gave it a four out of five because stuff does tend to drag on, and I havent the attention span to read tha kind of stuff  All I've gotta say is that the movie BETTER do it justice, or I'm gonna flip a biscuit.

well...I got halfway through the book...but it just started to bore me...it goes on forever and, as much as I LOVE dragons, this book dragged on, and not enough was explained, and it just got all too confuzzling.

Don't get me wrong, the detail was...phenominal and I LOVED teh place/character names...but it dragged on...and the author was just a big Copy-Cat

just stating my opinion

I'm starting to read it right now! I've read the Proolgue, Discovery, Palancar Valley, and Dragon Tails. On my way to Fate's Gift and the rest of the chapters. My favorite characters are right now are: Eragon, Katrina, Horst, and the Trader

I loved it the fisrt time I read htrough it, but then when I lookde back through the book I realized how mutch the autho took from Tolken, Lord of the Rings. The vast majority of the names were exactaly the same and the plot lacked meaning. Then I read Eldest. The thrid worst book I have ever read in my enitre life. It dragged on and on and on and on. And again it lacked going anywhere. I love dragons alot but the books just were well bad. My favorite cracter was Murtag but he went.... I also have seen stuff for the movie and I predict a flop.

Thats it......

The only thing that i disliked about the books was in the 2nd book. Eldest. The red dragon that i was looking forward to reading about in only showed up in the last 10 pages of the book. I went threw over 700 pages waiting for it to make an appearance.

As for Eragon, it took my parents forever to finally get it for me. I kept glancing at the price of it whenever we went to the store. Hoping it'd gone down. Finally my parents surprised me with it for Christmas and the 2nd book for my birthday. I think the 3rd and final Inheritance Trilogy book is going to be called 'Empire'

Eragon(6 letters)
Eldest(6 letters)
Empire(6 letters)

All three start with an 'E'
I havn't heard much about the book. Very little has been confirmed by Christopher Paolini. But he has said that the cover will be of an emerald green dragon looking to the right. This, supposedly, is supposed to be the dragon hatched from the last dragon. So this might be a hint that there will be another dragon rider. But will he be on Eragon's side, or on Galbatorix's side?
