There's alot of text so sorry if I repeated something said already, but weren't cow, chicken, fish, pigs, bred to be eaten? By the way, most animals humans eat are not predators.

Eating meat is not animal abuse. The animals are typically killed instantly, suffering none at all. If killing is animal abuse, then animals would be thrown in the electric chair. Our beloved wolves and tigers kill, they can eat plants, but their first choice is meat. Animal abuse is an allowed, long and slow and terrible death; while most of the meat we eat is killed instantly. Killing bugs is soemthing that happens to bugs out in the wild.
(PS: Volcanoes help the Earth by bringing the mineral filled dirt from the center of the Earth, so almost any plant can be grown.)

Even if it is in our instinct. We're smart enough to learn that killing our own kind is wrong. What's the diffrence? Animals sould get our rights too! They may not be as smart as we are but they are still living breathing creatures. And we slauter them like their not even alive! Mc. Donalds may seem like a happy fun place. IT KILLS ANIMALS LIKE THEY'RE NOTHING!!! ALL FAST FOOD PLACES DO! So no I don't think I'm wrong...
Actually, our intelligence only exists because we eat meat. In fact our brain requires these proteines for the building process. That's one reason why almost only predatory life forms got over the step of advanced intelligence... and as much as I love animals - you couldn't ever forbid me to eat meat. It tastes great and assures me to stay healthy, if combined with the right ingredients.
Now, would I eat wolf-meat? If I'd live in the wilderness and get in conflict with wolves - or simply fail to find other meat - yes, I would eat wolf-meat.
And... we don't eat dogs and cats? While I agree that the western world doesn't do it, that's a pretty false statement (it's like with the horses - in central Europe it's common to eat horse-meat, whereas most americans radically deny it). In eastern Europe and in Asia it's common to eat dogs and cats. They don't do that because these beasts are more intelligent than other animals, they do it because it's, like beef, a never ending resource - as we can breed them, and because it doesn't seem to taste to bad (how bad they treat these animals before and while cooking is another debate). An interesting point in this debate is also: what does someone from India think about us for eating steaks?
You see... the definition up on what we should eat is relative - from culture to culture. So, why not eat wolf-meat?

Well I'm vegetarian so I don't eat any animal. So I think my options are slightly coincidental.

May I ask you out of what convictions you became vegetarian? Is it for religious, esoteric, allergic or simple animal-love matters?
Because an another interesting point is: why is it right to eat plants, while it's wrong to eat animals? Plants are living organisms that evidently have some sort of "feeling" and even remember conditions in which they got a bad treatment. Is it right to eat plants just because they don't have eyes, can't cry and have no mechanism that allows them to "think"?

Haha, clever answer. Though - what reason do you have to hate these plants? Wouldn't there be about an equal amount of animals that give you a reason not to like them (and yes, that includes tse-tse-flies, ticks, mosquitoes and what representant of animalia ever else may disturb you)?

That isn't the matter of the question I set (although, by doing some research, I'm pretty sure that I'd find some wild folks that even eat ticks - as insects make up a favored meal among certain bushmen). I mean - you don't necessarily need to eat a hated plant as well. The thing is that it's simply not the slightest bit better to switch on herbivorous food just because you like animals.

...so - what part is so hard to understand? The "ticks" or the fact that "plants are living beings" too?

Awww, plant. My friend's doggie killed my plant =P -loves plants-
but yeah, sometimes I just think that alot of people here like these animals for their looks, how smart they are, and all. If A dog looked like a small tree that can move and walk, then would you like dogs and treat them good?
.. You don't have to answer that, but still.
