Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is my least favorite book in the world. I HATE what JK Rowling's done to the characters.

Really? I think she humanizes them a lot more...
But that's your opinion...

I'm really excited about this movie coming up. I don't care if they took out a bunch of parts, I'm still excited to see it

I'll probably rent it, but I'm definatley not seeing it in theatres. I'd end up breaking up in tears at the ending when Sirius dies . I didn't even read the fifth book, but my sister told me, and I was like a volcano...'cept lava didn't come out...water did XD. I'm still looking forward to seeing it, though.

I saw it...and it was amazingly good.

I'm usually the time of person who's hard to please on movies based on books, but I liked it...much better than the 4th one (as well as the whole series).

Here's my feeling about the movie:

See it! Even if you're not so much of a Harry Potter fan.
Why? Mainly, it's the story. Its plot and characters are the strongest in the series and the strongest over all the other movies this year. In this dark movie, comic relief really needs to be strong, right? Well, Harry Potter 5 times them accordingly and nails them on the spot.
Backing up the story are really amazing and brilliant special effects.

Ok, I saw it over a week ago, and here's my take.

Overall, pretty good following the book. I didn't read the book completely, but I felt it was very good. Any lose ends that might have been there due to leaving somethings out were completely tied in somehow. It had way more of a story than the past movies/books so I was very pleased that it all flowed. Yes, I loved the special effects! Sirius is my favorite character and I was VERY dissapointed about the death scene. It only lasted a few seconds! I had grabbed an extra napkin expecting somthing like the death scene in the fourth movie, but I was left hanging and a little unhappy. I will give it to the filmmakers for the slow motion and silence in that part though. With more story and more emotion, I give this movie 4 1/2 stars out of 5!
