Well, my INTENT is to purchase a copy of "Balto: Endurance Fidelity & Intelligence". I know some of pics I posted of Balto came from screen caps of that documentary. As well as some of the movies on Fluke's Ice Cave.

I must admit, I don't own much material stuff about the real history, and NOTHING about the cartoons (other than the three cartoons on DVD themselves). I'm not a collector, however. I mean, I'd like to own the documentary...and, WHEN I get to Nome, I plan to bring home some keepsakes (including a bottle of Norton Beach sand, and a few flakes of gold, since they allow visitors to pan on the beach and in the surrounding area). But collecting stills, plush figures, lunchboxes, action figures, posters, stand-ups, etc.? Not my thing.

I've got it. The problem is that the DVD copy I have doesn't seem to have the documentary you mentioned. Here is the menu of "bonus features" from mine (the standard Universal packaged DVD):

Where’s The Dog Sled Team? Game
Theatrical Trailer
DVD-ROM Features
DVD Newsletter
Recommendations

What's odd is that I cannot access the DVD-ROM features. And I have Windows XP, and a maxed-out memory on my computer. And a DVD-Rom player. So I don't know. If it's on the DVD-Rom features, then I guess I'm out of luck.

I read another post where Steet mentioned the non-U.S. packages (the DVDs). Apparently, the U.S. releases fall short of the non-U.S. releases in terms of their extra features. Which is kind of ironic...considering that Universal Pictures is a U.S.-based company. In any case, no matter WHERE it was released, the material included should have been the same. :x

Yes the US DVD was very short on all the good stuff that was on other region's DVDs... I'm working on finding a Brazilian copy to purchase that has all that cool stuff on it and it's Widescreen... I can't wait for that... but anyways if you want the documentary shoot me an email at [email protected] and I'll reply back to you with the documentary video for your computer... I got it frome somewhere just can't remember where.

------------

and yes I just found the line in the video we were looking for. I thought it was in there as well just never bothered to look it up ;)... It was diptheria that the eskimo child had caught too.
