i agree there is nothing unique about goth, its like every 3rd person is one...

The fact that many are 'goth' because they don't want to conform to people's expectations may as well make them emo too or anything else people do to 'rebel'. I stand by the agnst side of things for this '..my parents want me to be a doctor, how dare they I'll show them!' Angst angst angst.

To me Gothic is a form of art, in both paintings and writing, people like Edgar Allen Poe. The way they tap into that dark side of life, it's just amazing. No amount of words can explain it. Sorry, I don't really consider vampires and werewolves and such as being Gothic. It's that "unkown" feeling I find to be Gothic, which is basically in your head.

I'm sorry but I do not agree with clothing being Gothic. If you feel wearing certain clothes makes you Goth, then you're basically a prep that dresses in black or dark clothing.

I was wondering if someone would actually get the answer to this question right. Thank you thank you thank you.



There is a huge difference between a Skin Goth and a Goth... The people you are describing are most likely skin Goths.

I am not talking about dressing unique, that's next to impossible. It is being unique in your thinking. Thinking outisde the box. And you do have to be unique to truly think outside the box. Goth is almost like living outside the box... I'm not sure if anyone will have a clue what I'm talking about.

But now might be a good time to mention:

Goth does not = Emo
Emo does not = Goth

If these goths are thinking outside the box then that makes them the same too. Your not different if you think a like and if you truely are individual and think unlike anyone else ever then you wouldn't be a goth, you would be way to smart for that lol.

I completely agree with you. I fit your description of goth. There is nothing to fear about death if you have faith. I enjoy the darkness and I feel better in darkness. I don't care if people think I'm weird, I enjoy being called weird, because that's me. So I voted being unique.

You don't have to be gothic to not fear death. Infact, like someone said, you just have to have faith.

ehh I hate all labels, not just the labels people put on others, but mainly the label people put upon themsleves. I hear it all the time when people are talking they say "i am goth" or you know any other labels that are out there. You dont need to call yourself anything, just act they freakin way you wanna act.

also a funny story on the whole every one looks the same when they try to be diffrent. I used to have real long hair, around to my elbows, and so I decided to cut it short. So when I cut my hair I became a normal looking kid, no percings, no hair color, and no long hair. and in turn by me looking normal, i have become different. Funny world huh, so yeah I have a wierd High school, were every one has black hear and lip piercings, so good luck to them on finding a job.

Oh and also if a teenager or young adult wants to be truley unique, act like a mature adult, get a job, or do well in school and go to college. and just act normal, and not care about all that teenage drama and angst. seriously how many teenagers do that? well ill tell you not to many.
