Dusty and the others were thinking of how they could find out WHAT it was. Kirby stood up. "Maybe we should see Star." "Star?" Ralph questioned, "how can Star help us?" "Star knows more about sharks than any other dog in Nome!" Kirby replied.

STAR'S HOUSE:

Ralph, Kirby, Jenna, and Dusty walked into Star's doghouse. Star turned around. "Oh, hello my friends." Star stammered. "How can I help?" Dusty walked up. "You can tell us what this came from." She held a tooth the size of a shotglass in front of Star. "O--Oh my!" Star panted. "He held the tooth in his paw. Then he finally spoke in a more serious tone. "Carcharodon megalodon." Ralph stood totally dumbfounded. "I'm sorry I don't speak French." "No, no!" Star replied. "Megalodon is a prehistoric species of shark believed to have died out nearly 4 million years ago!" Star pointed at Jenna. "How big was it?" Jenna spoke up. "About maybe 20 feet or so." Star turned around. "That Megalodon is only three years old." "WHAT?!?" Kirby spluttered. "You mean that thing is only a BABY?!?!?" "Yes." Star replied. "It will be 50 feet long when it becomes an adult." Dusty stood totally shocked. "Holy crud!" "Exactly!" Star pointed out. "You need to kill it while he's small." Kirby looked around with a smug grin. "I think I know who wants that honor."

7 HOURS LATER:

Kodi walked onboard a large research vessel, he had to use a crutch though. He agreed to perform part 1 of the officialy named Operation: Sharkslayer. Which was to attach a camera onto the shark. Katie decided to go into the cage with him. The cage was actually round. "So, why is it like that?" Ralph wondered. "Just like how you can't bite a beach ball, the shark's jaws should slide off the bars." Katie explained. "Oh." Ralph replied in a "I-knew-that" fashion. The ship pulled out into the ocean, little did they know that they would get the surprise of thier life.

INTO THE JAWS OF DEATH:

Kodi and the others waited on the boat. Kirby and Ralph were cutting up the bait, Kodi and Star were below deck talking, and Katie and Dusty were preparing the camera. Ralph loaded the chum into a net bag, Kirby gently lowering the bag into the water. Now, it was a matter of waiting.


5 HOURS LATER....................................................................

Kirby was watching a small acoustic tracking device for any signs of Jaws. He hadn't seen a thing for 5 hours, then ... "I've got something!" Kirby yelled. Star and Ralph lowered the cage into the water, Kodi and Katie got in. "Where is it?" Kodi asked himself. A massive fish approached the cage. Star contacted Kodi. "Is it our shark?" He asked. Katie was stone cold with fear. This thing was NOT a shark, it's teeth were like a car crusher, it's head seemed to be armor plated. "This isn't Jaws," Kodi said as he watched the creature, "this is something else." Suddenly, he remembered. He'd seen this fish somewhere, he knew what this was. "Star, this is no shark!" Kodi said. "What is it?" Star asked inquisitively. "It's a Dunkleosteus!!" Kodi called as the titanic fish swam past the cage. "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!?" Star yelled. "Yeah, it's an honest to goodness Dunkleosteus!" Kodi replied as it swam under the cage. "How big?" Kirby asked. Katie replied this time. "I'd say around 10 meters!" "10 meters?" Ralph asked, "that's over 30 feet long!" The fish rammed at the cage, trying to get to the two dogs inside. "Kirby, get us out of here!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Kodi yelled. "On it!" Kirby ran to the winch, he pulled on the lever ... Nothing. "Kodi, the winch is jammed!!" Kirby shouted. "Perfect." Kodi snapped. The Dunkleosteus turned around, and charged the cage. "He's charging the cage head-on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Katie, HANG OOOOOOOOOOOON!!!" The Dunkleosteus powered forward, armored head barreling at the cage. Kodi knew that this could be the end...........................................................

Ha ha!!!!! Not so docile anymore, is it?
