Eventhough you wouldnt exspect a 13 year old to watch those show i do. I dont ack like a teen at all. But its not bad to watch cartoons at a teen's age.

Rasistism is when you want to kill everyone from a sertain rase. Like if I wanted to kill all blue people I would be rasist. If I were pregidus then I just wouldnt like blue people.

Too many of the older cartoon series have now dissapeared. That's a shame. And newer versions to the old cartoons are just flat our horrible. There's nothing wrong with like cartoons. I'm 22 and I enjoy watching cartoons and animated movies. I find them to be more fun to watch then some of the stuff that's coming out now. Swat Kats \m/
Yeah I can agree with the first thing you posted. The newer versions don't have that.....charm that the old version had. And this fools the kids and when they look at the old version they won't like it that much.

Heck no, I'm 16 and I love to watch cartoons, obviously not kiddies cartoons like Clifford the big red dog but I love animated movies and TV series, I don't think it's wrong at all and the last person who told me to grow-up got told to mind their own because it's my life not theirs and I don't want to grow up, it's way too much fun messing around to grow up.

No. Not at all, at least not in my view. I'm 23 and I still love watching cartoons, in fact, in many ways animation is my preferred style of entertainment. To me, cartoons and animation are simply another medium, a different aesthetic used for storytelling. Leaving the story discussion for the moment, there are many times when I find an animation far more compelling to watch simply because of the detail that pervades a well made cartoon, the little nuances that the animators observe when drawing their characters, the seemingly inconsequencial details that are added when trying to bring a character to life. To cite Balto as an example, think of when Balto's fur rises on his back when he's angry at Steele, with live action (fully recognising of course that a lot of work is involved in training animals to replicate that behavior on cue), you are really just capturing what is already there on camera. Wheras in animation, that behavior is deliberatly re-produced on paper from scratch by an artist who has observed that reaction.
In that respect, cartoons can carry just as much dramatic and thematic weight as live action entertainment. Getting back on topic (as I realised that I was digressing quite a bit there ^^) The fact that animation is primarily used to appeal purely to young children is what creates the stigma that cartoons are only "for kids". However, there are many animations that can be considered more mature in their handling of their material. Balto of course is an example, with it's themes of acceptance and self-determination, and even some of Disney's own properties such as Gargoyles and Recess have dealt with darker subject matter.
However all of that is really secondary to what is really important, which is what you take from animation. If cartoons can make you laugh, cry, cheer or empathize with their characters, then there is nothing wrong with that. The world is full of things that can move us such as music, books and art, why should cartoons be any different? Cartoons, like each of the things that I mentioned above, can connect us with feelings and emotions that we don't always get to express or witness in everyday life, they can change the way we think and the way we see things. That is a special quality, regardless of whether it comes from the latest Johnny Depp blockbuster or from watching Clifford or Rugrats. So no, nothing is wrong with it at all, and if you continue to enjoy watching cartoons into your golden years, then good for you!
Forgive me for the long post, I'm always very enthusiastic about topics like this.

I agree completely with you. I'm sure my brother, Kurt would agree! Kurt loves the Simpsons and Futurama and he's 26! When we had Cartoon Network, we'd watch Dexter's Laboratory, and a several other shows.

My Grandpa was 93 and he would always watch cartoons and animated movies with me and my brother.
