Interesting topic! I've been thinking about this subject a lot lately. I was on the track to become a musician but I dropped out of college for awhile Now I'm seriously considering working with animals either as an animal behavioralist or a vet. That means I have a lot of schooling ahead, which is even more daunting considering by all rights I should have graduated college by now. It's alright though. I suppose everyone makes mistakes and gets sidetracked from what they really want to do.

I also have an interest in screenwriting and plan on writing a series of animated movies (or possibly a television series) involving anthropomorphic characters. That will take me awhile to complete considering I'm kind of lazy and have trouble finishing long term projects

It would be cool to get into voice acting. Guess it would help pay for college

I wish everyone the best of luck with their "wolf quest." Remember that you are free to change your mind when you are young but the older you get the more important it is to pick something and stick with it, at least until you are prepared to move on to something better.

Since I was seven years old, I have been using a computer. At the age of eight, I began to start learning how to build programs via Visual Basic 3.0. Since then I have always loved the creative aspect of computing. To this day I still develop, only as hobby, but I have extensive knowledge in VB, C++, C#.net, VB.net, PHP, ASP, Java, JavaScript, VBScript, XML, HTML, Sql, MySql, Oracle, and Access Database.

In High school I became to official campus goto-guy for any computer related problems including by certainly not limited to networking on a regional scale.

However my ambitions never included computer related work. Nevertheless I now realize that it is possible to incorporate my computer knowledge into said ambitions. I intend on receiving a degree in Information Technology, so that I would be able to move to England and obtain a job in this field. Wherever I may be or end up is still irrelevant.

IT won’t be the end of my studies. I plan to continue to peruse my goals and dreams of making a difference. Speaking for those on the planet who cannot speak for themselves, protecting those who cannot fend for themselves, and ensuring the survival of those who’s outlook is beyond grim.

Animal Conservation is only the beginning of my dreams. Understanding and showing the world how animals think is my true goal. I want to, at some point, obtain a Masters in Animal Behavioral Sciences and after a PhD. in Animal Conservation.

I intend to apply my writing abilities along with my computer related skills, as well as knowledge of Animal Behaviors and Conservation to create vast presentations of wildlife in the world. However, something new included, understanding animal behavior and emotion. Most importantly my goal is to create a voice for Animals, not one spoken from humans, but a voice of their own. I believe this can be achieved when people can understand them in the same respect they understand other people.


I am more than determined to succeed. Through the storms and darkest nights, I will prevail to see sunlight. Nevertheless, eventually sunlight won’t matter.

Lol i had my first contact with a Spectrum at the age of 3 (1992) and the first programming i made (if tiping randomly in pascal is called programming) i did at the age of 5.
My history i bet doesnt interests nobody so i will shut up.

I think all of you have clear and different purposes , I admire you ,for I have to study very very hard and do so many things I do not like,and have no time to think more.

if i'm reading this post right i'm gonna say my wolf quest is to be a graphics designer and make a good living for a change

For my WQ is to be a researcher and make also good living to animals plants and humans.....

I think that my wolf quest would be to achieve being who I'd like to be. Now, I'm a pesimistic, shy and untrusting-himself without any future boy. But I would like to be a fighter pilot and a part time writer.

After reading all of your posts,I'd like to tell my own story.
I was born in an opening and occidentalize family that isn't like most ones of China.When I was young,I was educated with western culture.because I was nearly a half-breed of Man people------which have a good sense of learning .I still rememder what I have learnt and became a westerner in my heart.That is why I like staying with all of you.
I was interesed in animals when I was 8 years old,but after3 or 4 years,I changed my mind into becoming a writer,and it was still indeal.
When I went to secondery school----------opening and good at English--------I have found many true friends and stayed for 3 years,but I couldn't remain there because I've never study hard.That was crue,but I have to face it.
Now I am in the new schooland will leave of another one soon ,because my thoughts are always like westerner,nobody wants to play with me.I feel lonely but I don't want to change.Although I am proud of I am a Chinese,they are still have many bad manners and no-good thoughts.For example,you mustn't show that you have better sense than another,you have to conceal it even it is true.
Although I asked for your "Wolf Quest",I still don't know mine.I go to school in differet areas,most classmates think I am a stranger and is strenge.Maybe I'll go abroad to find out who I am and where do I belong in the future .But it isn't now.

My "Wolf Quest" is far from over. I'm wishing to fulfill my dreams someday and become a veterinarian, animal expert, or an animator, preferably for computer animation companies like Pixar or DreamWorks.

I come from the American Dream family. WE started with nothing and fought and clawedour way to the top with our brains. MY goal in life is to do just that and build on the base that my family has laid before me. That involves a degree in entreprenuership and........I dunno what else, either buisness or architecture.

well...... mines.... going to seem...... a little oquared.......... I want to work at Sea World Californa as a Killer whale beacuse my favorite animal are guess what the killer whale. And become a game designer.

well,my quest is to be an animator/animator technoligist....and to study wolves the HARMLESS way,bye going and camping out somwhere possibly in alaska.thats my "quest".

That's not strange, boomer. I once wanted to be an animal trainer, too, until I found that it would be very difficult to take up a job in another state, away from my family. We don't have any Sea World or other marine theme parks here in Georgia...
