I've played it, Nightmare was a good char for me but just because I beat my opponent up before they got the chance to attack...did'nt always work though, I prefer Soul Caliber III.

The Caracthers I prefer to use are rapheal, NightMare, Maxi and sometimes Ivy
Night mare is pretty slow I have to agree with the peaple who posted that earliar but his attackes are devastating, along with his range.
Ivy is pretty good once you get used to her, her whip sword attacks are awsome, but her turning is on the slow side.
Rapheal I would say is the best caracther...for me. his pretty fast and his grab is good for knocking your opponent out if your close enough to the edge.
Maxi Is Awsome, he has crazy fast attacks, which are good to push your opponent to the edge and kick them off :P

Soul Caliber III is awesome, it's got quite a few side-games to it and stuff plus you can create your own fighter and battle against the original characters with your one, you'd have to play it to really see its awesomeness.

Game Cube? Mine's on PS2.
