I read the poem, and you know what? It reminds me of about a year ago when England was kicked out of the World Cup.
I was watching the news, and there were two stories. One was about England being kicked out of the WC, and the other was about a day of remembrance for those who died in World War I.
One story was talked about for practically one measly second. The other hogged virtually the whole afternoon.

Which story was talked about for the longest? The football one. And my mum and I thought,

'We should crying over those brave soldiers, not over a football.'

It disgusts me.

As America approaches the anniversary of its creation, July 4, all Americans should stop and think about what has kept our country free all these years. If your grandfather, father, neighbor, friend, or anyone else you know is a vet, take the time to call them and thank them for what they did.
