It's a movie...they wanted the ending to be all happy and lovely, they probably did'nt think twice about the fact the sled could'nt run with no snow, they just wanted a 'happily ever after' ending.

Yea, that's what i thought! in Summer, they used the plane and in winter the used the dogs. But, i guess it was just meant to be all a happy eneding not really thinking about it, but it's nice to have an imagination about these things. I still think that it was plane=summer and dogs=winter though. I know, if it was that they would have gave us more of a clue at the end, but thats what i lile to think!^^

But the dogs didn't know what the plane was. If it did the mail runs in the summer, every dog surely would have seen it flying and not acted like it was the first time they had laid eyes on it.
