I'd be a mutt. Not wolfdog or purebred. Not a wolf either. I mean a mutt as in a dog mixed with two breeds. Ex: German Shepherd/Husky

Of course they did. Even in WWI, the Germans used them, although I believe in at least WWI they were often taken forcefully from their owners...

HOLD UP, TROOPER!! Sorry, but I like saying that. You don't know for sure if he was a pure anything, unless you've done a DNA test on whatever remains of him now. He could be a pure wolf for all we know.

All that remains of the real Balto is his taxidermy body, no workable DNA I should'nt think, he's in a museum somewhere in the US but I can't remember which one.
