There must still be some people with long sigs because on some parts of the forum I'm still getting the horizontal scrollbar.

I dont really care about signatures i have been in places where people have the same animated banners that where of course causing me to go get some water time by time, but there most of the signatures where funny and the people good at heart (it is gone forever GamersRoam i will always remember you!) . But you are right some control is needed (we just can't do what we want can we?) anyway publicity in forums hits me hard in my opinion about a person, doesnt he know the rules of publicity:

Never ever combine pleasure with work because it will cause problems later, work is work pleasure is pleasure.
To annoy people is no way to get members (only probably noobs)
Doesnt he think a link in your signature is ok it doesnt beat the eye that much (as a banner that always says Buy Me! Visit Us! Become one With us!) that rule with publicity is very good because to be in a forum doesnt mean to advertise your site but oposite have fun with people with the same passions as you.

Too bad this code is forgotten at TV i get 30mins commercial then 20mins a movie then 30mins commercial etc...
Movies, PC Games and Music all have "made by marketing" on them more often (thanks to Bethesda, Lionhead Studios and some other not so rich but very fair game producers who dont use a product to make their game good, Tired of all these World War 2 movies, Lord of the Ring movies, Harry Potter books they where good methods to be Gandalf or Aragon but to exploit it as so its very shameful of what the world became)

Britney Spears was called a effect of the 90' now marketing is the number one fobia but not for the normal people who have respect but for the money hungry or power hungry distributions.
EA Games you should be ashamed! (the best example that i remembered now)
