Either he's playing a game, or he's beating up the wall. xD LOL if you look closely he has a devillish smile, so yes he's been throwing the glass ball at the wall. Actually, originally he was supposed to be some kind of spirit and the back of the wall was an ancient carving with runes and such, boo-ha, but hey, beating up the wall works too XD.
Lol, yeah, I was contemplating that one. lol, it's cool

XD, People aren't really hard to make up, but they are hard when you are trying to draw a real person. And get a likeness of course.

ooh, i just noticed the part about you maybe making a painting tutorial! *jumps for joy* (no subtle emotions for me right now^^) can i just ask one question for now? (not counting that one) what kind of brushes do you use for "painting" in photoshop? i've started to explore more brushes, and there are sooo many!
oh, and i noticed that you said (in DA) that you have "artist's block" again. here's my suggestion:
i set this up in case i ever get artist's block: take a container and a stack of index cards. write a list of 5 random things on each card, cut 'em apart, fold 'em, and put 'em (sorry, lots of 'ems) in the box. then whenever i don't know what to draw, i pic a random slip and draw whatever's written on it. the idea is to force yourself to be as creative as possible. for example, if you draw "penguin", maybe draw it skydiving or something. whether the finished product is a sketch or colored is up to you.
here is a sampling on what's in my box:
penguin (of course)
jack (from "wolf")
a realistic sketch (open to anything)
flamingo
fox
self-portrait
portrait of someone else
a redwall character
balto
a random disney character
dragon
and many more, and i'm constantly adding stuff.
i hope this helps, you've been so helpful to me i'd like to repay you at least a little^^

Lol! XD, yeah, I hoped to sneak it right into the end, to see if anyone would actually see it. Usually, I only use the hard-edged brush in photoshop (Usually around 30-40 opacity, 50 When I want a more thick Oil Color look), but everything will be explained when I actually get to making it lol.
Oh and thanks for the art block raffle box idea XD, I used to draw in pen to get rid of my art block.
