what do you mean? you think that girls should/can be in band? lol, i was just stating my opinion there i personally don't think that girls are right for band, but i could be wrong you know

Yeah, no offense, but that thing about girls not being in band or playing brass is in reality completly untrue. Our second best trumpet in the school is a girl, as well as our 5th best. Curently all of our euphonium players are girls (not counting myself as I haven't seriously played it in over a year). Our two oboests (who are fantatistic) are girls, as well as our two best flutes, and our clarinets. Our third best tenor sax is a girl, as well as our third best alto sax. Our first chair violin in the full orchestra is a girl, as well as the first chair cello. Yeah, sorry for the rant, but girls can be in band, orchestra, etc. Just because band doesn't do it for you doesn't mean that it can't for other girls. And all those girls I listed, they're all better musicans than me, and most people think I'm a good musican. (though most people don't know what a 'good' musican is anymore these days)

my teacher says that i'm the best trumpet player in the band...i might have to get a recording of my playing for you guys...if you're ready to blow your eardrums out we recently got a new piece of music today, it's called "Modal Song and Dance". it's a pretty catchy song, and it's really fun to play. i could record that for you guys, if you want to hear it.

i play the flute and i'm practicing the guitar also hes not me but my dad plays the base guitar

i wanted to play the flute, but my teacher recommended that i play trumpet, because during instrument try-outs, he said that i played the trumpet the best. i picked the trumpet to save my grades.

and does anyone mind if i record my playing skills?

Let's hear what you've got, it's always nice to hear other players, especialy when they are better than you.

i don't have my trumpet right now, but i can bring it home on Monday and record this song that i'm playing on my Spring concert.

You got it! First off, you're talking to a girl is a MUSIC MAJOR. Saying that girls shouldn't be in band will offend a whole lot of people, because you couldn't get farther from the truth. Maybe it's not something YOU enjoy doing, but we are as musical and capable (sometimes even moreso) as anyone... most of the guys in my highschool band were slackers anyway.

I wasn't there when he did that but i have seen him play. Its even better sounding when you'r in the same room as him

Thankyou SnowWolfMystic, I'm glad you and I agree. And balto678, wow, you friend has some skills. It's amazing, a guitarist who can actually play, and play really good. Yeah, in highschool, there are way too many guitarists, and most of them can't play worth anything.
