Well, duh.
It's a midquel - if you've seen the original Bambi, you already knew that he was going to be okay.
I thought that it was quite dramatic IMO: seeing his father's emotions in that scene was just . . . touching.
But yes, I do believe that it's overused in many films like this, except it's much better done in The Lion King (when it's the other way around, and the dead remain . . . dead, unfortunately. I guess seeing a child's emotions after the death of a close loved one is more dramatic than a father/mother losing a child . . . especially when you had just begun to connect with it.).

I find it very annoying indeed. Dude,Suka think befor you post maby read alittle more The Cronicals of Narnia was based on the Bible
Dude, how about no?
You shouldn't have to read the book in order to get what's going on the movie. That's the whole point of the movie. And I don't care whether or not it's based on the Bible. I DIDN'T know...I didn't WANT to know...I shouldn't HAVE TO know...and I shouldn't NEED to know.
Must I elaborate more? Alright. Put it in these terms: I'm fine with Aslan comming back to life. Everyone expected it. But it was the manner in which he came back, and the reason as to how he came back that made me a little doubtful about the whole movie.

I agree with Suka on the aspect that when watching a movie a key element is sensibility in the plot and that the veiwer should be able to understand the movie. A veiwer should be able to watch TCON and understand it without having read the book. Which I think is already hard considering they didn't start with The Magician's Nephew (the first book that explains how the white witch got to Narnia and how the heck there would be a magic wardrobe.)

The first book also tells how the lamp post got there, which is pretty funny

Exactly.
And plus, him telling Bambi to get up was a repeat of the exact same thing that he did when Bambi was grown up near the end of the original film (you know, when the forest was in danger?).
So there was a touch of nostalgia in that scene too.

Yeah, She totally just threw it at Aslan's head. Then she shrieked and ran, which she did alot in the first book too.

It's kinda a long story, but in the short run the white witch through a lamp post at Aslan in the first book, and it hit him in the head but didn't hurt him. So when she saw that, she ran away 'shrieking', and if you ever read it it's soooo funny!

I know! I know! XD That's why I liked reading the 7 books because it was really funny at times how he explained things, it was so matter-o-fact.
