Yeah. It is confusing . . . .

Anywho, I think maybe Kovu's statement that he said (I think it was something along the lines of "Scar wasn't my father, but he was still part of me." . . . . Yeah. How else could Scar be a part of him unless he was related to him? I mean, look at him! He looks like a cub version of Scar, and in the end, he looks even more like him, but cuter!)

Ooh.

I mean, think about it: Wouldn't it be genius to hide the truth from Kovu all this time? The Outlanders know the truth, but I'm not sure whether Vitani would have known the truth though (since I made them about the same age). And maybe Zira wanted to make Kovu become king to recieve the title that his own father had abandoned . . . . heheheh. This could make sense, yes?

The idea just keeps getting better and better . . . . *rant* still, too bad the deleted scenes didn't make it onto the TLK2 DVD . . . that sucks. Bah. *rant over*

I think what Kovu meant by "a part of me" is that maybe when Scar was alive he and Kovu had some sort of special bond not a literal Father-Son bond but maybe Scar was the father he never had.. or maybe Zira drilled it in his head that he was a father figure and Kovu's real father abandoned him or something..

and looks aren't everything, Mufasa and Scar are related and they look nothing alike.. I mean, Ahadi could be a tan Mufasa clone and Uru (their Mom) could look exactly like Mufasa and yet they're still Scar's parents. would you still be able to say Muffy and Scar are related based on looks?

if Zira had green eyes and dark brown fur, would you still say Kovu's Scar's son?

though I admit at times he does look like Scar, that one scene where Kiara passes out from the fire and Kovu walks up to her is just cool *shivers*

If Scar was a part of Kovu,then why didn't we see Kovu in the original Lion King?

Because Kovu wasn't even thought about then.

That makes perfect sense about Kovu.

But he doesn't know that . . . ?

And neither does Kopa either. I guess maybe Zira kept her true motives for Kovu secret from Kopa, so that what he doesn't know wouldn't hurt him . . . . heh. This would make a good background story . . .

UPDATE: There will be a sequel to the first story called "Kopa's Return"! It's still in the works, but I'm rewatching SP for research purposes (Yeah, I finally bought the SE DVD the other day; I also have the original release VHS, but I like DVDs better!). I'll post the first part here when it's complete (I will tell you this about part one: It ties together Kopa's story and SP, continuing the ending of the first fic. Many things will be revealed! yay.)!

There is one part in TLK2 where it is slightly inconsistent with your story

When Simba finds Kiara playing with Kovu and Zira comes to protect Kovu...she says to Simba that Kovu was the last one born before Simba banished them to the Outlands. So Kopa couldn't have been exiled and then sired a son named Kovu.

But that is the only inconsistency i see at the moment, overall good work ^.^
