Three 30 second long trailers from the Universal Latino Youtube channel (don't worry; the actual clips in them are in English!):

Thanks again for sharing! I especially like the third one; I think it shows some short shots we haven't seen before!

A song called 'Fearless', performed by Lucky and Milagro's voice actresses has been released:

And a 'The Making Of' video for the song:

The videos also include a few new clips.

Thanks again for sharing, Sofi! I wish they did the song in just one language, maybe two versions, English and Spanish. But for me, the mix of Spanish and English doesn't really work.

DreamWorks shared Taylor Swift's "Wildest Dreams" a few days ago, with a neat clip from the movie. You can find it here!

Spirit Untamed has already hit cinemas in several countries, including the USA! You can find a list of release dates for every country here

Well, I've watched it.

Overall, I think I enjoyed it. While not a perfect movie, it wasn't the worse thing ever, either. It had some humorous moments (other people in the cinema certainly seemed to think that!) The visuals were pretty good in my opinion. I thought the horses were done well; like, they seemed like horses and weren't too human, if that makes sense (except for some comic relief from Boomerang and Chica Linda).

If I were a big fan of Spirit Riding Free, however, I might have a more negative view on this movie, considering it's a reboot rather than a continuation, and the fact that there are changes in the character's designs. Really, this film probably doesn't exactly need to exist...but I'm okay with that! Some people aren't, though!

Anyway, I guess I personally give it a thumbs up, although, I know this movie has also gotten some not-so-good reviews...

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the movie, Sofi! This is pretty much the same as I hear from other SPIRIT-fans. It's better than Spirit Riding Free, but it adds nothing to the storyline, and it doesn't have any guest appearances from Spirit, Rain, or any other characters from the original movie. I'll definitely go watch it when it hits cinemas in my country, but I won't get my hopes up too high!

I've finally seen Spirit Untamed!! It took a while, because it was only released on August 4th in my country. I went the next day. Here's my review on the movie (which I've shared on my Instagram as well):

Spirit Untamed Review
I actually quite enjoyed it! My main negative point on the movie is that it didn't stay true to the 2002 original, and besides its namesake, has nothing to do with it. I really wish they'd given us anything about the Lakotas, maybe about the U.S. Cavalry, and definitely about what would become of Spirit, Rain, and the Cimarron herd.

On a positive note: the movie had quite some funny moments and I really liked the animation. I think the design and animation teams did an incredible job! I really prefer the style they used on the horses in Spirit Untamed over the one in Spirit Riding Free. The music wasn't bad either (but in my opinion, nothing can beat the Hans Zimmer/Bryan Adams score). I can dream on about the scenic backgrounds, they were probably my favourite part! I'm definitely going to rewatch the movie, so I can keep an eye on those backgrounds!! My favourite scenes were the tango and the fireflies ones. And I frikking. Loved. Aunt Cora, she's my hero.

Although SPIRIT: Stallion of the Cimarron will always be my favourite, and it pains me deeply it never got the love, attention and sequel it deserved, I think we shouldn't judge too hard on Spirit Untamed. The little kids in the audience (definitely all born after 2002) seemed to love it, and maybe we should see Spirit Untamed as the SPIRIT movie of this generation. I definitely want to say the movie crew did a great job putting together this fun, enjoyable movie in these hard times. Thank you for that!

Glad you enjoyed the film!

I think there were actually a few references to Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, such as the bird of prey flying over in a few scenes. StormyStrikes points out a few in the 'Spoiler' section of her video review of the movie: https://youtu.be/71vbiiVavCA

I agree about the basic style of the horses being better in Spirit Untamed than in Spirit Riding Free, although I do kinda think, though, that Chica Linda and Boomerang's designs were maybe more unique to themselves in the series. But overall, I think I preferred most of the characters in Spirit Untamed to their Riding Free counterparts. And yeah, Aunt Cora was a fun character!

I remember in one of the more positives reviews that I read, the writer said that they like both this movie and the original equally, but for different reasons. And I think that might be round about where I personally stand

Those were more like easter eggs, little winks to the original. What I meant in my review is that I really missed the link to the original, anything that makes this movie part of the original story, if you get what I mean!

I'm glad you feel that way about the new movie! For me, the original 2002 movie will always be my #1 favourite, but I did enjoy Spirit Untamed way more than I thought I would (after all the reviews/spicy opinions online)!
