You guys he never said their wasn't going ot be a Balto 4, they just got nothing going. But for Phil (if you reads this)
You see now after Balto 3 came out, more people have reginzed it. Balto 1 and 2 were pretty old, many people have forgotten about the films. Now that people know about Balto Source, people know what its all about and will most likey by Balto 4.

For Steet
Good job my friend!

When Balto 2 came out almost right away there was a deal made for Balto 3. This obviously hasn't happened even after a year has pretty much gone by. Not saying it won't happen now but it is a bit more doubtful.

I don't think Phil would appreciate his email being shown in public though just like anyone else wouldn't.

I suppose that this email was destinated to everyone on the site, or he wouldn't have written "I wanted to thank everyone for their continued support of the Balto franchise." and then "I also wanted to let everyone know ..."

I'm not sure about this in fact, I used to think it was the case, but if you look at his résumé for example, you'll see that he mentions "1999 TO Nov. ‘00" for B2 and "2002 TO April ‘04" for B3.

The number of visitors of the site is still a very small percent of the buyers, unfortunately...But it's free advertisement for Universal, that's sure.

Getting an E-Mail from Phil Weinstein! That's awsome Steet. I have no way of knowing, But wouldnt a script(Or at least a plot)for a movie have to be written before a director is hired? If so that could be Why Mr. Weinstein dosent have any word of "Balto 4" yet. I see this as good news. If Universal is still wondering wether or not to make a "Balto 4" The Petition could be just the thing to make then decied in favor of It. *Keeps His claws crossed*

Yes, you're right, I think it's true (at least I believe it works like this). I'm sure they even write scripts and sometimes wait years before making the film based on it, or even never do it.
But for example...They never hesitate to make a new Land before time film every year. (well except this year, but they have the TV series planned in addition) And I would think the budgets are more or less the same. Not to say that they should make a sequel every year of course...There's a right middle they should find. But if I continue I will repeat the petition topic again.

Hopefully we might see a Balto 4. Just because one isnt being planned at the moment doesnt mean there wont be one. I mean, we waited about 7 years or so I think for Balto 2.

Wow, an e-mail from Phil Weinstein! I'd be so proud if I got one. Im planning on starting a Balto Fansite soon. But right now Im trying to make a fansite for the book The Sight. Ive got forums aswell (See my sig.)

Anyway, I agree with what some people said before, we need a Balto 4 so round off. I think It'd be quite easy enough to make a sequel for all of Balto's pups. As I said in a post a while back, if they get stuck for ideas, I mean, just look at all of the Balto fanfictions. They could set a competition or something. Id send in all of my fan fictions if they ever did do that...

Wow. I feel so lucky that Mr. Weinstein addressed all of us! You must feel quite honored, Steet!

Well, there's no Balto 4 in the works currently, but I still have hope. Who knows: Maybe one of our ideas could be an inspiration for Balto 4? (highly unlikely, but we could try, right?)

I wish Mr. Weinstein good luck and success on his next project, and I hope that maybe we'll see a new sequel in the near future!

Maybe so but going on past encounters with people in the production of the Balto sequels, I was simply reminding to be careful when sharing emails as it is easy to offend.. which has happened in the past.

On a reseme it will date when that individual worked on the movie, that doesn't mean that the date of production started then. Surely the script writing, the license, the allocation of funds, research etc would have been made much sooner. Balto 3 was planned very soon after the innitial sales of Balto 2 were made.

I personally am happy with the trilogy but would go as far as saying that Balto 3 should have been Balto 2.

Yes, I know that some problems like that happened during the making of Balto 2, and maybe I was a bit hasted to show this email. Well, I still said that I would prefer people not to email him so that he doesn't get his mail box flooded with mails from the fans...

Ok, but then we wouldn't be sure that there is not indeed a Balto 4 planned but not in production state yet.
