She is shown to be more than just a teasing romantic interest for Boris. She has a serious, perhaps even borderline heroic side.

Admittedly I'm not sure what I would have done in the place of the writers, but I think if Stella had been just a bit less of a hussy (using the milder definition, granted) and a bit more useful, maybe I would have found her a more appealing character. The fact is, there's nothing inappropriate about her character or build. Granted, real geese don't have a pronounced breast area like Stella does, but even Boris has a similar build. No one ever complains about him, just Stella. lol But I suppose the difference boils down to gender. As for her personality and behavior, I really don't see any issues that would deem her as inappropriate. And If I recall, BaltoSeppala once mentioned that Stella's character was likely designed to reflect Mae West, an American actress in that time period. I would link it here, though I don't remember where that topic is.

Well, what i can say, the third movie is ok i guess. Much better than the 2nd one.. While i did like the story overall in Balto 2, i don't think that should be called a sequel. I dunno, it just feels rubbish to me. Balto 3 was so much better, and it brought back what Balto franchise is known for, the sled dog teams and that stuff like in the first movie. But on a different note, Balto 3 also feels a little....childish..i mean no offence but the dogs vs airplane thingy is just....plain wrong. I mean, if you go by that logic a few dogs could NEVER beat an airplane. And this is just pure fantasy if you ask me. (and yes, i know it's just a movie for kids but still... ) IMO, Balto 3 was a preety good movie, better than Wolf Quest for sure, but still childish though. If those weren't cheap sequels and the budget at the time could be a little bigger im sure they would deliver something more simillar to original Balto. PS: Sorry for bad english.

Honestly? I don't really care for Wings Of Change that much and it is my least favorite movie out of the Balto series. I pretty much only have it in my collection because why not, and I pretty much only watch it because I love Balto as a character so much. There were very few things that I liked about this movie. I'll start with what I did like. I liked the song "You Don't Have To Be A Hero". I found that song very sweet, mainly because Jenna was singing it to Balto. It was the only song in the movie that I didn't find annoying. I will admit that I did enjoy the animation in this movie a little bit more than Wolf Quest. Though nothing will compare to the animation of the first film. I thought it was cool and clever that some of the characters from the first film made cameos. (Rosie, Doc, Slyvie, Kaltag, Star, and possibly Dixie even? Correct me if I am wrong.) Now for the cons. I hated almost every song in this movie except for you don't have to be a hero. I found them all highly annoying. The worst song being everything flies. I didn't really care for much of the characters in this movie either, to be honest. My least favorite characters being Mel and Dipsy. I used to really hate Kodi at one point in time, but I am neutral on him as a character now. I still prefer Aleu to Kodi though. I felt that the storyline in this movie wasn't that great. I found it to be kinda weak and kinda a rehash of the original Balto.

It's bad. The funny thing is, it could've been mediocre, perhaps even good (which is like A Masterpiece in direct-to-video sequels) given there's some interesting things there. The return to discussing historical events, the teeny cameos of characters from the original movie, the life and death adventure story... these are all sensical tropes to include in a Balto sequel. It's like a return to form sorta thing, and that can, in moderation, be a sequel's greatest strength. The thing that makes it bad, though, is that none of these ideas are utilized to their fullest potential. At anything, whenever I pop my dust-covered copy of The Big B Number 3 in to watch, I'm reminded of how little it feels like anyone on the movie's creative team cared. The script is mostly filler, the new characters are pointless, and the tone is so separate from the first movie's that I'm surprised the two films are connected at all. Hell, the crappoop animation woulda been fine if the story had been better. Fair play I guess. Maybe if I'd have been a writer or concept artist or something on this movie, I wouldn't give it my all either lol. It IS just Balto 3, after all. Not much of a legacy to live up to.
