Erebus looked at the Poochyena and smiled to himself. He thought I actually beat him! He got a Revival Herb out of the pack that he had on him and gave it to Poochyena and said "Eat this. It's a Revival Herb. It will bring you back to tip top condition."

Erebus smiled widely at Rex and said happily "My name is Erebus. Glad to meet you, Rex. Here is the Pokeball if you still want to join." He got the Pokeball out of his pack and laid it on the ground and stepped back to see what happens.

Rex approached the Poke Ball and gently nudged it with his paw. He turned into red energy and went into the ball. The ball rolled three times and then locked. Rex hadn't yet learned to get out by himself, as most civilized Pokemon knew.

Erebus walked up to the Pokeball and pressed the center button with his paw so it would release Rex. He smiled at Rex and said "Welcome to the team buddy. And I am glad that I have such a strong Pokemon on my team. What would you like to do? I don't care what we do except for going to the next town. When we reach the next town though I would like to take on the gym there first thing."

Rex shook himself off. "Uh...I don't really know...I don't know a lot about civilized Pokemon...sorry...I've got a lot to learn," he admitted, looking embarrassed. Wild Pokemon typically needed help getting accustomed to how things went in the civilized world.

Erebus smiled and said "Don't be embarrassed. You will get accustomed to civilized life soon enough. It's not that hard really. Just know who to not pick with and be friendly as you are doing now. There are a couple of places in every town you should know about which are: the Pokemon Center which heals you free of charge if you are badly injured and it also serves as a place that you can stay at to sleep for free; the Poke Mart which is where you buy food, herbs, Pokeballs as the one that is paired up with you now; there is also a Pokemon Academy that helps Wild turned Civilized Pokemon such as yourself to learn the basics of civilized life, the Academies also give information on different statistics and type advantages and that sort of thing but I am sure that you already know all of that and if you don't then we can go and learn about that as well. Really the first stop should probably be to the Pokemon Academy so you can learn more about civilized life."

Erebus shook his head and said "I don't need to be healed right now. I'll get healed at the Pokemon Center in the next town after we are done at the academy." He started heading into town to get to the Pokemon Academy. He looked back at him and said with a competitive smirk at Rex "Care to race to the next town?"

Rex smirked. "Sure! That sounds like fun!" he said, wagging his tail. Poochyena were known for their playful personalities, it was simply part of the species' overall outlook on things. He took a racing stance. "Alright, let's do it!"

Erebus raced with Rex to the Pokemon Academy. Once he was there, he panted and said while smiling to his new friend "That was a fun race but you beat me!"

Rex panted as well. "I'm just a wild pokemon, we're more used to running like that," he explained, smiling. "But yeah, that was fun. Good race!" he exclaimed, wagging his tail a bit. He then looked at the academy. "So, this is it?"

Erebus looked at the academy and said "Yes. This is it. Let's go inside." He walked in and up to a receptionist's office, and wrong the bell on the table to get someone's attention.
