i said Aleu, since she has the strength of a wolf and could easily beat a dog

You all are saying the same thing. Alue is a wlof she could beat up a dog. WRONG! I have lived in Alsaka for two years and I have seen WAY more dogs beat up wolves than wolves beat up dogs. Dogs are more limber more agail and determiend the wolves. My old dog scampy beat up more than five wolves she was a huskie! so wolves arn't as powerful than you guys are talking about here.

really? i've always thought that wolves were stronger. after all, wolves need to be vicious, or they couldn't survive in the wild. and dogs are spoiled, so they probably have forgotten how to fight...i dunno, just a thought

Yea I thought that to. But me and my father and our ten dogs used to study wolves and wolves feared our dogs Kari! I guess it was because my dogs weren't spolid like Dusty thay were sled dog, some part wolves themselfs. only one actually and all our other dogs beat up on him too! like I was saying my dogs were sled dogs and often had too fight to live as well.

then maybe huskies are the tough dogs when it comes to wolves

I think Aleu is too much brawn. She'll probably just lash out while Dusty would dogde and attack. Although Dusty seems pretty laid back.

Aleu is part wolf. Her bodymass is greater either way. But even if they were the same strength, Dusty isn't a fighting type. Even if she could beat Aleu she wouldn't because she cares more about spilling blood than Aleu does.

this is my final answer: i think Aleu would win. mostly because wolves are a tad bit smarter than dogs, since they have to be smart to survive in the wild. if they weren't smart, they wouldn't know how to kill for food, or communicate with other members of the pack, or anything like that. my point is that wolves have to be a bit more vicious to survive, and dogs have been spoiled by humans, so they have less fighting experience. the only thing they really fight about is over the food bowl. so i think a wolf could kill a dog on the spot, because of brains, aggression, and overall bodymass.

Well Kari this is my final answer! Dusty, like i said I've lived in Alaska for 2 years, I've seen the cruel way of the wild, and the fact that dogs have killed wolves. just yesterday i came across a picture of king and noticed his scars. King was part wolf, and the dogs beat up on him too. the fact of the matter is, It's not over all body mass, it's determanation and dogs like Dusty have WAAAAAAYYYY more determenation than Wolves like Alue. enough said!

I would say it's a tie. Both have their own strengths and weaknesses, but I don't really think they would have much of a reason to fight anyway.

unless Dusty gets interested in Kodi but Aleu doesn't like her...but that would never happen, considering the fact that Aleu is wild now.

Here's my evaluation on the subject:

Well, let's look at our two opponents -

Aleu: She's the daughter of Balto and Jenna; she looks like a wolf and is 25% wolf; currently she is the alpha of a distant wolf pack, far from Nome.

Aleu has a slimmer body, making her quick and agile for moving quickly. She also has larger paws than normal dogs - most likely a genetic trait passed on my her father's wolf bloodline. Even though she lives with wolves, she's still a young, headstrong yearling.

Dusty: Her family is unknown, except for the fact that she is a husky; she is the only female sled dog on the mail team, who works with Kirby, Ralph, and Kodi (who is also an offspring of Balto); she strangely looks similar to Aleu, but more husky-like.

Dusty is a bit bigger and stouter than her sledmates, but she is still a crucial part of her team. She must be quick and athletic, since she is able to do tricks similar to what Balto did in the first film. Also, she has a possible crush on Kodi or Ralph; this is hinted in parts of WoC, but we'll leave this to the fans to decide. heheh.

Well, I couldn't really see them fighting, for one thing. They seem too nice to be fighting each other. But if they did fight, I couldn't really choose either of them. I believe that even though Aleu has the upper-hand with the whole "OMG part-wolf" thing and also because she never really "fights" in WQ (she tried, but it was quite pathetic, really). In the end, it would be a tie, or they would just stop fighting and let bygones be bygones.

They actually seem to be equally skilled as dogs (yes, I called Aleu a "dog" (again), because she is one. duh.) and with what they do IMO.

That's my two cents on the matter.

this is one of the 'what if' situations. i couldn't see them fighting either, but IF they DID fight, i would expect Aleu to win.
