how i first met balto is kinda funny, actually... i was about 6 at the time, and balto must've been fairly new to vhs. my dad rented a couple videos for me, balto included. i watched the other videos, but i was a bit skeptical about balto. i had never heard of it, and wasn't so sure it was a cartoon. i took it to my dad and asked his if it was a cartoon, and he said yes. so i started to watch it. it was a "real people" (live action) movie! boy was i annoyed. i wanted a cartoon! so i told my dad that he had been wrong. he then said that it only started out that way, and i needed to keep watching. i didn't believe him, but i decided to give balto one more chance. the rest is history!

I can't remember when was the first time I watched it. but I reamember that my dad bought it for me when I was little... around... 6 or 7. I'm not so crazy that day. but years after that I rewatched it that's when I become a fan.

When I was 7 years old I had read an interesting article about dog named Balto. In 1995 I saw a VHS with nice dog on the cover I wanted it badly, but mom didn't bought it to me. Since then my mind were filled with this wonderful and mysterious story, I wrote my own version of how it may be. Finally, in 1999 I SAW Balto 1 and fell in love with it. My version and movie version had very much similarities, and that's weird. =)
I actually always wanted Balto movies were more like Jack London's novels. But... this film was made for children in any way, so they had to be careful producing it.

I think I first saw it when it came on the Disney Channel a long time ago (this was even before there was a TDisney). In fact I think this was the first time it came on basic cable. It was probably sometime in 1996. I remember the sound was messing up on it though (parts of it had no sound).

I think It was shadow D huskey on Killer's korner on 2003/2004 (Hey I sound like when you have call out a case on that 'clue' board game). ,that got me interested. I remeber when I started to pay attention to him (Mostly his fanfics, rps, and profiles), the very reason that I like steele is that Shadow d huskey, he showed that charecter in a very good way (Which steele is considered bad/evil by most most balto fans), and that was the first Balto CHarecter I took interest in. I ened up renting the movie, and watchig it and that explained everything. I saw wq when looking on the toondisney movies. I saw it mostly, so then I rented it again to watch it (I think I was I also waited it to came back on tv, one of the two). WOC, I heard when I was on the internet, I first saw most of it on cartoonetwork, It went the same way the first time I saw WQ.

I did??? I haven't been to that board in a while and really need to try and go back sometime. Kind of haven't taken interest since one of the guy's I was RPng with suddenly just "dissapeared" (a certain Silvanus Snarl). I wish he had come back though.
Sorry off topic.
So back on topic
I think the first time I saw Balto in its entirity with sound through the entire thing was on Cartoon Network. When it came on the Disney Channel all those years back I was recording unfortunately the sound was always messing up (I think they broadcasted it twice and it did it twice, it was probably on their end too). I am not sure though, but I think Disney channel may have even been a premium channel way back then. I think this was 1997 or something.

I don't recall when this happened, but when I was young, (7-9 mabye. I was born in 1990.) I was at my parent's friend's house, and they showed the first movie to my sister and me, but I only remember seeing the part when Balto is in the ice caves and one of the syrum glasses breaks. I guess that you could say that it "planted the seed in my head" as it were. A couple years later, I was just flipping channels and I saw on this one channel Balto 2 at the part where the end of the "Who You Really Are" song, and then the dialogue between Aleu and Meru. I watched parts of the rest of it, but I only remember the last part where Balto is talking to Aniu and she says something like, "Goodbye, my son." and then she dissappears and Balto says, "Goodbye, mother." That, I guess allowed the theoretical "seed" to grow. It grew to its fullest extent when I was flipping channels again, and I saw the first one on some cartoon channel, which I saw most of the important parts, but I still missed some of it, but that got me to go online, join a couple fanlistings, and then I came accross this site while searching "balto" on Google[/i]

I saw Balto right after the film came out and never owned the video actually until a few months ago. I would occasionally see it on TV and always enjoyed watching it as a child and finally purchased it at video resale shop this year while browsing through.
