Red could only watch as Volt grabbed ahod of the smaller pokemon with her teeth and electrocuted it. When Volt releaaed it, the Rattata lay limp on the ground. Red growled with anger. he withdrew Rattata back into its pokeball and sent out his Charmeleon. "Knock him out." he said. "Use dragon rage!"

At the sight of the Charmileon, Coleus's eyes shone for a moment. "Alright. Dodge, Volt - use Thunder Wave!" Volt tried to get out of the way, but was hit. He snarled, rolling on his side and forcing himself back up, then released a blast of negative ions.

The Charmeleon took the hit, then shot smoldering hot ember right back.

Coleus opened her mouth, but stopped as Volt leaped out of the way and charged up for a thunder bolt.

Just as Volt was about to release the attack, Charmeleon leapt forward and raked Jolteon across the face with a claw. "Finish it off with Dragon fury!" Red commanded.

Volt leaped back, rolling out of the way. He sparked viciously. "Calm down, Volt," Coleus told him calmly. He ignored her. Volt darted around the Charmelion, then leaped at its back, aiming to release a charge directly into it. "Calm down!"

Charmeleon took Volt's hesitation on her trainers command as an opportunity to strike. He sent a shock wave at the jolteon, knocking her flat. Red flashed a smug smile.

The Jolteon huffed, laying down. "Well, Okay, lazy. Panya! You're out!" she walked out and picked up Volt. He grumbled at her. "Ye over-dramatic thing." she pet him softly as Panya leaped out, darted a few side-steps left and right.

"Scratch!" Red told his pokemon. Charmeleon took a swipe at the rattata

Panya leaped out of the way. "Go ahead and use Shadow Ball!" he charged the black ball of power and hurled it at the charmelion.

Charmeleon couldnt change his direction fast enough, and was hit with the attack. "Shake it off, use ember!"

"Dodge," she called. Panya leaped ohesut of the way, though his ear was grazed. "Now, use Bite." he leaped in for the attack.

(The idea behind Panya is that He's fast but not as strong. Volt's a bit more balanced.)

"Sidestep and use scratch!" Red yelled. Charmeleon want fast enough- the rattatas jaws clamped down on its side. i might only have one move left with this guy, Red thought grimly.

"Nice, now use Shadow Wave," Coleus commanded. Panya readily released a a wave of shocking darkness at the Charmelion.

Red was right- the Charmeleon collapsed. Red put the fainted pokemon back in its pokeball and he sent out Pidgey. "Gust!" He told the bird pokemon. Immediatly it whipped up a gust of wind with its wind and sent it at Coleus's rattata.
