I have hunch there could be a yes from Universal. Maybe in 2015, there will be a blu-ray release celebrating Balto's 20th anniversary.

I think that there is a good chance that one day we'll see it on Blu Ray. Now, I'm doubtful about the sequels, but I think it's pretty safe to say that Balto will someday get a Blu Ray release.

It's sounds possible. They just realized that two pack with Balto & Wolf Quest, so Balto's still being thought about. Maybe.

I do strongly believe there is a chance we'll see a Balto blu-ray release. If they've released some older films, like The Secret of NIMH or All Dogs Go To Heaven, then I'm quite sure Balto will get a blu-ray too some day. Now, I'm sure if I'd want to see the two sequels on blu-ray, of course that would be nice too but I would absolutely love to have the first one.

Never say never. They did just rerelease the first and the second, so who knows.

I don't think they would, there isn't a huge fanbase for Balto, at least, not worth the cost of making a new screen for the selection, adding more content worth the cost, (I'd be pee'vd if it was just the same Balto DVD just in pretty HD which doesn't matter to me) and such. Maybe, but I'm not looking out for it. I was happy enough with my nice DVD copy.

No. Sadly I don't see Balto getting a Blu- ray release. As far as I know , Balto has a tiny fanbase compared to movies like Lion king and Toy story. Universal also does'nt care enough about Balto.  Maybe if Fans wrote letters to Universal?

Steet once organized a petition for Universal, however I don't recall how that went, but I'm going to guess they disregarded it.

If I remember correctly , that was for the Special Edition DVD. They declined that. It gives me an idea for a contest , Blu - ray covers.

I think Balto 3 might get a blu ray release. Because on ITunes and most other places where you get digital movies. Universal has Balto 3 in HD you can download. But you can't get 1 and 2 in HD. I don't know what it looks like in HD. That might be a possibility.
