No, Jenna won't remarry Kaltag and, I doubt Balto will died. I don't know where you got the idea like that.

Dogs don't talk or do light shows either. As for the topic, it could have prompted some interesting discussions if the focus were on personalities. As it is, it seems to have been hijacked by irrelevant tangents, so you're probably right at this point.

They didn't even get married in the movie(s), I think it's safe to say that Balto universe dogs don't get married LOL

Consider that Steele was mentioned as having a pedigree, but there was very little about dog breeding - nothing about selective breeding - and no mention of keeping records of a dog's bloodline. I'm pretty sure dogs were never shown drinking anything in the movie, but you'd be stretching things past the breaking point to argue that they got by without water. Besides, given your history of arguing for Jenna/Steele, you don't have a leg to stand on there, seeing as the movies had, oh, just about everything saying she'd sooner go out with a toad.

Uh, first of all dogs don't "Marry". They mate. And second of all, you said "remarry". That means they had mated before. When they uh, you know, the female usually will become pregnant. And if Jenna had other puppies, I think it would have been mentioned in the story, so I say no. But would she eventually fall in love with Kaltag? I still think no, but that is my opinion, and you are entitled to your own.

Okay, enough of this!I may be a newcomer with only one character created, but has one simple topic with a few small errors come to this? Why are people posting gigantic posts about being reported and dogs not marrying? Is it really necessary?
Alright,if you want me to change the question,I'll change it.The question is now: "If Balto died, would Jenna and Kaltag become mates?"
There. Is that better? No more marrying,no more remarrying.I fixed it.Now,you all can stop posting that dogs don't marry over and over.
Whew!I'm sweating, now.I've never typed such an intense post.
Anyway,I'm not trying to be rude or disrespectful, but a few simple errors on this topic have led to 100-line posts that are off-topic and unnecessary.
And for those of you like Dragon Tamer who are trying to bring this back on topic and set the record straight, thank you.I'm starting to regret I ever posted this topic. It's been nothing but trouble.

I'm going to spare myself the reading and tell you all something you can't argue with. "What you see in the movies is what's canon. What you don't see is not canon."
If anyone tries arguing with that, you're a moron.

To save those people worth paying attention to here a major headache, I'm just going to reiterate the purpose of this topic. And I'm going to keep on doing so no matter how many times it takes.
The question here is whether, in the event of Balto's death, Jenna would take Kaltag as her mate. This raises other questions such as what the manner of his death was - for example, if he died of old age then she might well be too old to really think about having another mate herself. On the other hand if his death were sudden then that might have a serious impact on her which would also discourage her from taking another mate, unless the loneliness that followed lead her to seek one. This question is so open-ended as to be rather impractical unless one is discussing a specific story, so I think it's fair to say that it should be considered academic here.
So, again, assuming that Balto died and Jenna were of a mind to choose someone else to finish out her life with, why Kaltag? Personality, common interests, shared mourning? What is there in the movies that one could extrapolate to that conclusion?

Nah, can't see it personally like at ALL. Plus, she could easily die of a broken heart, after all Balto and Jenna were around the same age, and Jenna and Balto would have been together for a great deal of time. I've heard of it in people, so I don't see why it couldn't happen in dogs.
Also, Jenna and Kaltag showed any interaction throughout the movie, especially not in a "romantic" way, I can't see Kaltag being a romantic kind of guy either, Jenna wouldn't simply become mates after Balto's death, she'd be mourning it if anything, which makes the "Broken Heart" theory become more realistic. But, that's my personal opinion, Jenna would simply die alone after Balto's death, either from a broken heart or simply of old age. I doubt she'd ever become mates with another dog after such an event.
Don't get so uptight and sensitive with people's opinions (frankly, Troll Berserker was just merely stating that she found Kaltag annoying, which I must also agree on), 'kay? You asked for opinions, so you got them. And, he's a freakin animated character, meaning he isn't real...

I doubt she'd ever become mates with another dog after such an event. That's true. Often after losing someone very close a dog will basically pine away, refusing to eat, and pretty much starve themselves to death. A dog I once knew fairly well did that, as a matter of fact. I also agree that Kaltag was hardly the romantic type, although we saw little to confirm or deny that in the movie. What little was seen which might have some bearing on that was his tendency to resort to violence, albeit slapstick, when irritated. If I were Jenna, I probably would consider that something of a turn-off.

I, for one, cannot even imagine that ever happening. Ever.
