Sorry if I'm spamming up your topic, buuuuut.
My latest work. I did some minor photoshop work to improve it.
AAAGH!Insta-ban! You have deeply offended my tender sensibilities! I shall now go to a corner, lay in fetal position and cry my eyes out while making sure everyone on AS knows about it! Take your light-pen and geeeeeet out!

Stumbled upon an AWESOME new fan video last night while talking to some AS members, on Skype, about this great movie! Yes, fan videos and even fan art are starting to crop up on YouTube (now that the DVD and Blu Ray is out), dA, etc.!
This one uses a fantastic song that I had never heard (nor a band I had never heard of until watching the video), and I am glad I heard it - it's really cool! The video features the song "Good Time" by the band Owl City (with Carly Ray Jepsen), and features the Once-ler and Pipsqueak from the movie. Check it out!

Okay, so I've mentioned something on Jersey Captain's profile, and he inspired me to watch The Lorrax with this article. I was so excited to watch it with my family, and I will tell you what me and my family thought of it. Me I thought it was excellent! The fish reminded me of Alvin and the Chipmunks and I was the only one laughing my voice out at that part. Parts of the movie were funny, parts were scary...sorta, and well.... all I have to say about it, is that it was an awesome movie, thanks to Jersey Captain who was my inspirer. My sister (Skyward Sword) I hardly heard my sister say a word throughout the movie, but I knew she was so focused on the movie. That was probably the reason. And she also laughed at a few of the parts. Overall, I think she thought it was a great movie, pretty much the same opinion as me. xD All I gotta say for my sister is that it was awesome! Way better than movies they come out with these days. My brother My brother did not want to watch the movie at all. But since it was Family Night, my parents made him watch it. There was some things he didn't like about the movie, such as where The Once-ler chopped down all the trees in the entire world. He thought it was impossible which it is, but the movie wasn't as he expected, cause I saw him laugh too at a few parts. I think my brother just wants to play on his X-Box 360 but I think he thought the movie was good. So I think he'd give it an 75 %. Let's put it that way. My mom My mom loved the movie also! Except for when they chopped down all the trees in the whole world, but other than that she loved it! She also loved the Disco Tree. lol She actually danced at that part. So, she enjoyed it very much. My dad Now, my dad tends to drift to sleep when we have Family Night, but for some reason he didn't for this movie. He hadn't said a word for this movie and like my sister greatly enjoyed it. He though it was an excellent movie. So overall, my family thought the movie was an awesome movie, an I personally have to thank Jersey Captain! Thank you so much Jersey Captain.

That was a very good review, Cloud! Thanks!
You may wish to keep in mind, however, that the trees which were chopped down were not all of them "in the world", but just those in that region. While it is not specified in the movie, the original cartoon, or the book, it is alluded to in what the Once-ler says about how long it took to search for the right source material. He didn't find them for a little while. Yes, he did eventually "chop down the last truffula tree", but only in that area around his place and the eventual town of Thneedville.

Thank you, Jersey Captain. Apparently, my mom and brother didn't know that. Oh, well. At least overall, it was an awesome movie.
It is indeed. And I think Theodore Geisel (Dr. Seuss) would be very pleased with what they created here. But for the few things we discussed earlier in this topic, it really is a fitting tribute to his work and the message behind this particular story.
