Clove lay down in the shade, hoping they wouldn't mind if she stayed the night there with her cub and rested. Max had left her side and she watched alertly as he approached the other cubs without an ounce of caution. Courage, the one good trait he got from his father.

Max bounced around happily. "Hi!" he said, voice cheerful and very adorable. Clove put her head on her paws and watched carefully, not all that worried, they were just being cubs, not much could really happen.

Romeo + Chloe::
They repeated what he had said. Hi. They said, just as cheery if not, more. Romeo looked over at his mom. He knew she worried for them because of their age and size. Romeo and Chloe watched this older cub as he bounced around her. Romeo and Chloe were a little nervous because they weren't as big or as strong as this cub. And he could easily out run them if he wanted to.

Max smiled, "I'm not going to hurt you..." he said, noticing the looks on their faces. From where she lay, Clove laughed softly, Max was a smart young lion, she'd give him that. She was proud of him.

Romeo::
He was the braver sibling. He looked this lion cub over, circling him like Brutus usually did to rogue males after beating them up. My uncle does this. He chimed in, sitting down in front of him. Romeo always looked up to his uncle... Literally. Romeo flicked his ears back and forth, just encase his mom was saying something to him.

Max turned his head to one side. "I don't have an uncle..." he said and glanced around, seeing only who he assumed was the other cub's father. "Who's your uncle?" he asked, curiosity getting the better of him.

Romeo::
Uncle Brutus. He said simply. Smiling, he didn't know any better. Brutus walked back and layed down on his side in the shade of the trees. Brutus heard his name and lifted his head up. Romeo smiled and put a paw up, as it pawing him from the air. Romeo turned to back to Max. C'mere. He said and walked to Brutus, sitting down in front of his belly. This is Uncle Brutus.

Max followed and looked up at the other lion, curiosity written over his face. He didn't really remember his father, nor had he ever had an uncle, he had only seen other older lions from a distance. He was intrigued.

Romeo::
Uncle Brutus is my mommy's brother. He said and leaned on Brutus. Chloe climbed up Brutus' back and lied playfully on his side. Laying her head in his mane. Romeo looked at Max. Uncle Brutus is the best uncle in the whole wide world. He said meekly, sitting down and tilting his head slightly.

Max smiled, "I wish I had an uncle..." he said, be frowned for a minute, then brightened. "Well. Nice to meet you uncle Brutus." he said politely, not knowing any better than to call him uncle.

Brutus::
Back at ya kid. He said, he had been called many things by cubs of all ages and it didn't bother him that this cub called him uncle. It didn't matter to him anyway. Brutus didn't notice Chloe on his back and he rolled over a little bit. She flipped onto the ground and meowed at him. Brutus rolled back over so she could move. Chloe crawled over him and slid down his side. Landing beside her brother.

Max watched as the other cub crawled on him, his mother didn't tolerate that from him anymore, said he was too old. He looked back at his mother, who had seemed to have drifted off, but he knew she was still alert.

Max watched and ran over to his mother, laying next to her and watching, she opened one eye and looked at him for a moment before huffing and closing it again, he snuggled up to her. She'd wait for night to hunt.
