OOC: Okay, so just to clear something up, our characters are in the other world right? Not earth?
Ricochet's favorite pass time was galloping throughout the lush pastures that lay just in back of the forest. It was dangerous to get anywhere near there nowadays, because the shapeshifters had been pushed back so far into the forest. Him being the daring and sly type, however, he got away with it nine times out of ten. He was headed on his way there when he spotted an unfamiliar presence. He had come face to face with a creature he had never seen before; indeed, he only knew it was human from the legends he heard as a little boy. Could it be true? Was the legend coming true? Nah, he shouldn't kid himself... but, then again, he couldn't help but feel mesmerized by the human's presence.
Here he stood, straight in front of her, eying her with a speculating and curious look. He took another step closer, cautiously moving his hooves so as not to startle her - or himself for that matter. He was only meters away from her, and by now he was certain she had to have seen him too (after all, he was hard to miss as a giant equine). He decided not to change forms yet; it was too dangerous. What if she turned out to be hostile?
Ashton hadn't been to the forest for the longest time; many of the other elementalists feared it and warned their brethren to stay away from it. Some of his peers had even claimed there were laws that they could go nowhere near it. But that was beyond him. Ashton had learned long ago never to trust what people told you - especially those you don't know - and he wasn't about to start now. With a light and unassuming step, he entered the trees, unaware of what he would soon come in contact with.
